Just FYI, the way you've worded that makes you sound like an idiot.

I've had to read it 3 times to figure out that you're not saying that humans never need to breastfeed, but rather you're saying that nothing natural is "intended", it's just an evolutionary outcome.

Well aware of my shortcomings seamus, but cheers for the heads up all the same.

Nature doesn’t have an intent. There’s no specific reason has ever been determined as to why humans breastfeed (plenty of various theories put forward though), but it’s certainly not something nature intended.
There is so much stupidity in the a I've I don't know where to start.
Since it’s just your opinion and I don’t imagine it ever becoming a reality I don’t think it’s worth my time addressing the idea that people who don’t share your opinions are simpletons. It’s easy to understand why you would think that way.
Of course someone getting offended by breastfeeding or hand holding is a simpleton and the fact that wider society doesn't get offended either illustrates this.

So how do you suggest infants should be fed

In whatever way their parents choose to feed them?

I feel like there’s a point you’re trying to make in asking that question as the answer seems far too obvious.

I haven't looked at all the replies, but did anyone ask if a woman is allowed breastfeed, why isn't he allowed jack off? I really wouldn't be surprised...

Soak it in people, internet does not get better than this.

Years from now, scholars will be pointing towards this sentence as to why the phrase "every opinion is valid", is deeply and profoundly wrong.

I haven't seen that but it has been compared both to crapping and it's been suggested that you feed a baby in a toilet. With a straight face.

God help these people's partners is all I can say if that's the attitude to women and kids.

Someone did compare it to having a blowjob in the street - possibly in jest - but it's hard to tell in this thread.

I understand why some people think it's inappropriate. I do not think their concerns should be listened to or taken in any way seriously. Breastfeeding is perfectly normal but unfortunately we're at a point where it's not as normalised as it should be and the only way to do that is to encourage it and be supportive of it and soon these views that it is inappropriate will slowly disappear (hopefully).

I do not understand how anyone could compare it to taking a dump.

Right up there with the claim that settled people dumped their rubbish on halting sites. ;-)

I would think they’re more likely to point at your post tbh for an example of why “every opinion is valid” is deeply and profoundly wrong -

Why did some animals evolve milk and breastfeeding?

Most Human Beings Are Lactose Intolerant: Here’s Why

I hope they wouldn’t be as snide about it as you are though having learned from their ill-informed ancestors by then too.

If your fall-back in a discussion on "why is breastfeeding in public acceptable?" is that amphibians and snakes don't produce milk and that some adults can't drink cows milk, particularly after claiming that breastfeeding "is certainly not something nature intended". Then yeah, you're wrong.

    You did read these articles?

"The activity of lactase becomes reduced after breastfeeding, at that point the body no longer needs as much lactase. Not to mention a human mothers milk is much different from the milk of a cow."

Sometimes when in a hole it's advisable to lay down the shovel or least start to dig up.

I think the China Syndrome is at work here...(in regards to digging)..;)

This is a very simple issue with very simple answers.
Breastfeeding is natural and anyone who complains gets a two word reply, second word "off".
If anyone argues it further, repeat initial reply. So much for the real world.
Also, 100% of people complaining about it here are Internet Edgelords and can be safely ignored, since they don't get out anyway and even if they do, are noodle armed choirboys and can just be waved aside.
So do it and fcuk the moaners.

I'd turn this on its head: Why is breast feeding in public not acceptable?
It's somewhat perverted to find boobs so off-putting or exciting that babies have to be fed out-of-sight.

Also why are some people so shocked at the sight of women's nipples, yet they are completely oblivious to men's nipples which are just non-milk producing and (usually) smaller versions of the same thing.

I reckon, rather than a baby feeding room, there there should be a little room in the corner with a curtain for the odd-balls who freak out about seeing a boob. That way the rest of us could get on with life in peace! Maybe they could enjoy their coffee in the toilet?

The vast majority of people are so discreet that you would barely notice they are doing it or the baby is under a top or something. Its not exactly like there are mountains of tits everywhere when you go out the door.

Because it's a woman exercising her right to feed her baby. Wtf kind of question is that even??

This is not the US edge lords and incels, we have fought long and hard for rights in this country and are not about to go backwards like that country, so off you go to Alabama or Iran where you will feel more at home if you feel the need to shame women and try to control our bodies.

We still have some way to catch up to most other countries in Europe where it's completely normalised, but we're on the right track and no angst ridden spotty incels are going to drive us back to the dark ages of being ashamed of feeding our babies where and when we want.

Outrage culture. It's just another way for people to get up on their high horses that's become fashionable. Just a way for people to become hysterical and feel like a "victim", it's all a load of claptrap.
I'd turn this on its head: Why is breast feeding in public not acceptable?

That's how the question is always framed. It's OP who has turned it on its head and asked the other question.
It's somewhat perverted to find boobs so off-putting or exciting that babies have to be fed out-of-sight.

No it's not. It's a perfect normal reaction to seeing breasts in a society where private parts are kept covered.
Also why are some people so shocked at the sight of women's nipples, yet they are completely oblivious to men's nipples which are just non-milk producing and (usually) smaller versions of the same thing.

Because they are sexual parts on women, what are you 4.

Your woman, Tasha Mama, on YouTube is a disgrace though, her breastfeeding channel is nothing but attention seeking.

Don't come back and tell me her videos are for educational purposes either as I know what I'm talking about, I've watched all 372 of them.

Bathrooms, disabled toilets etc. But if there are no options then just be discrete.

I've been sitting in a beer garden sharing a table with a few strangers and one of the women literally pulls her tit out and starts feeding the kid. No effort to try and be discrete and sitting directly in front of me.

So in that scenario the only real way for me to not look is by basically staring at my pint.

The conversation at the table stopped and it was very awkward for everyone involved.

Take your pint to the jacks!

Completely normalised? I don’t know how you come to that conclusion when Europe has the lowest global breastfeeding rates -

WHO European Region has lowest global breastfeeding rates

And it’s not by any small coincidence that Alabama has one of the highest breastfeeding rates past 6 months in the US -

Even if there were "mountains of tits everywhere", or more specifically if women were less discreet, so what.... it's the most normal thing in the world, it should be totally acceptable in whatever form....

Also, pre-emptive repsonse to those that say "well pooing or having sex is normal, should that be allowed in public? --- No, it should not you stupid ****-wit

I can't believe I actually have to say this.

The boobs and nipples primarily exist so women can feed their babies, not for sexual pleasure.

I completely agree, they are only tits after all, I really don't see the problem.

    However its a non issue.

Women are discreet so this whole thing is getting outraged about something that rarely even happens.
