    So is crapping.

A baby will also crap in public.

They won't be such obvious trolls though! (Be honest with yourself, when your ma had her tit in your mouth, it was the best time of your life, wasn't it? It was when your ma had them in mine anyway!)

I've no problem with it in public within reason.

Try and be descrete, cover up a little and go somewhere quieter. Don't just whip out a tit on full display in the middle of a busy cafe.

People have a responsibility to not make others lives uncomfortable within reason.

Ive never actually met anyone who objected vocally to breastfeeding in public. My wife used to breastfeed all the time. I remember we were in ikea on a couch in the corner and some teenagers were going to sit down, noticed at the last second that she was breastfeeding. A little mortified they just tuned around, mumbled a sorry to me and off they went. Grand lads. Everyone in my experience is respectful and gets it.

I suppose if anyone ever actually had an objection and was stupid enough to actually say something there would be an altercation, but Ive been lucky that thats never happened.

Ive also been to a few get togethers with a fair number of Polish people and you can always tell when a polish girl is breastfeeding because the guy is standing right in front of her keeping guard. You'd be accepting a posthumous darwin award if you decided to be an idiot with that situation.

in short, people who object to brestfeeding are idiots but in truth are few and far between.

Go where? In a restaurant you don't have much choice, and babies end to try uncover themselves anyway.

Breastfeeding in Public = Only offensive to those who love a good mass / never had a rub of the relic

Skuttering in Public = possibility to spread disease .

    Not similar in the slightest.

    Its only boobs .

practically all modern breastfeeding clothes are so discreet its rare people even notice.

I know this may come as a shock but if something I see makes me uncomfortable I usually find not looking dispels the discomfort.
Amazing that people can get offended watching a baby feed from something specifically designed by nature to provide nutrition for said baby.

I used to live in a flat years ago and one of the lads had a rule that if anyone was having sex in the sitting room or kitchen then we were allowed to sit in and watch....

I'm not sure why I remembered that, thinking about this issue. Lol

Well I guess if she's out on public display then she's alright with us having an aul' gander. Right? Yes? No? Maybe?

What would your advice be to a mother with a hungry baby and no formula?

Some organization skills wouldn't go a miss.

    But I don't see why it's relevant.

People are not breast feeding in public because they can't forsee thier child might be hungry in 2 hours

I'd have thought that part of the thrill would be getting caught. Or having people watch. Dogging in the comfort of your own living room...

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Because there is public amenities to get rid of your bodily waste. And it ****in stinks. Do you really wanna drop your kak’s In the middle of Starbucks and **** in the floor.

When your born one of the first things you do is get to suck on a titty. It warps my mind as to why people get so bent out of shape over this.

This usually happens when the mother has big droopy tits and the baby has to stretch and bend its neck/back more thus bending out of shape...

Genuine question. This seems to be all the rage now, and the argument for it, is that it's completely natural! Well so is ****ting, yet society dictates that we must withdraw to the shadows for something so 'natural'.

Do you never eat in public? Geninue question.

that would certainly beat doing it on a cold night in the middle of winter. Or so a friend told me.

I dont think its actually the breatsfeeding at all they take issue with, they have other serious unresolved issues and anger or disgust about brestfeeding is just one of many possible outlets for their internal rage. To put it another way, haters gonna hate and they're just looking for things to hate.

    It's odd alright.

What I find doubly, triply odd is when it's heterosexual guys saying this.

Why are they saying no to boobs?

    Don't say no to boobs.

It is also possible many people like to think we are special somehow. With our perfectly packaged little food - and our knives and forks and cups and glasses - our napkins and little after dinner mint. All so civilised and above the world.

Then you see breast feeding and you are reminded - no we are merely animals - mammals specifically - a hand full of chromosomes away from being Chimpanzees - not all that special or divided from the animal kingdom at all.

Maybe some people do not like that reminder. For whatever reason.

I see women all the time in Starbucks, Costa etc with their tits hanging out feeding their infants. I see women sitting in the middle of shopping center seating areas doing the same. Everyone stares, they pretend not to be but they are, especially young lads.

My crackpot theory is that the people who get themselves into a tizzy over a bit of exposed boob in cafés and that as women feed babies are highly resentful because the aren't getting any tasty titty themselves.

Bathrooms, disabled toilets etc. But if there are no options then just be discrete.

I've been sitting in a beer garden sharing a table with a few strangers and one of the women literally pulls her tit out and starts feeding the kid. No effort to try and be discrete and sitting directly in front of me.

So in that scenario the only real way for me to not look is by basically staring at my pint.

The conversation at the table stopped and it was very awkward for everyone involved.

Wow - unless I missed it - these threads do not usually get as far as 10 pages before someone eventually suggests making women do the feed in a toilet.

And the breastfeeding mother gives them a "what are you looking at?" scowl

When you are ok with having your meals in a toilet area then it's ok for you to suggest it for others .

lol I barely want to use most public toilets for their designated purpose unless they're nice and well kept. Imagine being shoved off there to sit for god knows how long until your baby is finished eating!!

Sure what else are disabled toilets for. It is not like anyone uses them - or like there is any reason to try and keep them free and unoccupied as much as possible. Sure no one needs to use them in a hurry or at short notice. And sure if they are occupied sure they can stand - sure haven't loads of folk some sticks to help keep them up. They can wait.

What I find disturbing is that some of the people here who are bothered by seeing a baby breastfed probably aren't trolls.
