Hi there, my stomach seems to have a slight intolerance to beer vs whiskey.

Could this be due a specific ingredient in beer or just the volume of beer is always more?

I was under the impression that Whiskey is distilled Beer, essentially (and brandy is distilled wine).

Likely either the hops, or the gas, in the beer.

Do you see any difference to a lager versus ale versus stout?

Slightly easier if I drink stout but still feel crap vs say having whiskey.

Could it be gluten? Distilled spirits are gluten free.
But if it was that, you would likely have issued with regular bread.

    My guess is hops.

Is there any drinks without hops? Like beers/ales/cider

It would have to be cider to avoid hops entirely.

Also, maybe try a lager like Spaten, which (at least to me) isn't as bubbly as some other beers. Don't drink from bottle, pour into glass and let it settle for minute before drinking. You can get it in O'Briens and ALDI and off licences.

Several things come to mind as possibilities: gluten, hops or yeast. Gluten and yeast won’t be present in distilled spirits, but will be present in beers.
