Poor Boris appears to have had a ferocious row with his latest squeeze which resulted in neighbours calling the police.

His fellow Tories are not impressed. Will this impact his leadership bid?

I can't see how to be honest. The Tory party's membership adore him and have no issue with his appalling personal and professional records. Same treatment Trump gets in the US.

We sat again for an hour and a half discussing maps and figures and always getting back to that most damnable creation of the perverted ingenuity of man - the County of Tyrone.

This ‘story’ making headline news shows how ****ed up modern society has become.

Neighbour who is most likely of a different political persuasion hears an argument and decides to try to use it to derail his political career.

That's Horse****. Screaming, banging, shouting all going on. This is the guy who will be the next PM. Of course this is news worthy

Is arguing with your partner where each gives as good as they get now considered ‘anger issues’?

Screaming AND shouting? Outrageous. You may as well throw in the kitchen sink. Banging? Horrendous.

Bingo. Neighbour more than likely a remainer.

Thing is tactics like this usually fall flat on their face because people see the narrative being presented. This will more than likely give Boris a boost in the eyes of the public.

As long as it wasn't caught on video, he'll be grand..

    Evidence?

    Evidence?

No doubt the busy body neighbour has it all recorded. Expect it to leak anonymously when the story goes off the front page.

It depends on what sort of front is put up by BoJo and his partner (if they are still together)

If Hunt turns up at rallies/Hustings etc with his wife all loving and clinging to his arms while BoJo turns up alone it could set a bad picture for him.

If his partner (now his ex?) Comes out and says henhas anger issues, is prone to violent outbreaks it would definitely be the end for him.

Remember Beckham after the famous football boot to the head incident? He never made a police complaint butnthe picture of him with his hair tied back and a cut to the forehead spoke a thousand words.

This could have been just a couple having a shouting match (as happens in relationships) or it could have been more. We'll have to wait and see how this one pans out i think.

Would someone please think of the children

I am sure Maggie Thatcher has some right old roaring sessions with her husband, didn’t stop her been a great PM.....

It’s as news worthy as any of those trashy reality programs

Remainers are pulling every trick they can, this will come to nothing, much to their horror.

Aye. How dare he question future glorious leader over someone's safety.

I can't see it making any difference, if you're mad enough to like and trust him in the first place why would you stop now

Aye. How dare he question future glorious leader over someone's safety.

Did he / she need to provide the recording to the Guardian? How exactly was that done for safety? Calling the police is one thing, providing the recording to the Guardian is a move calculated at running his career. Nothing to do with ‘someone’s safety’.

    No harm doing both.

The recording, if it even exists was probably made for evidence. I don't know how the Guardian would have it, again if it exists.

Yeah if you want to destroy his career. No other legitimate reason for providing the recording to the Guardian. That had nothing to do with the neighbour being concerned for the lady’s safety.

If they rang the police then the safety part was covered. And maybe his career should be destroyed for such things. No harm doing both.

A recording exists and the Guardian has it. They have it because it was provided by the neighbour. Do you stand over your claim that this was done out of concern for safety?

    For having an argument? Seriously?

I do. If he's abused someone, the country should know about it.

So nothing to do with safety. Thanks for clarifying. As for ‘abusing someone’, a heated argument is now classed as him abusing her? Is she also guilty of abuse? Or just the man?

  • Registered Users Posts: 32,943 ✭✭✭✭NIMAN

Boris is that far ahead of Hunt that he would need to be caught on video dragging his partner's dead body into a shallow grave at the bottom of the garden in the middle of the night for Hunt to have any chance of catching him.

It was only a heated argument? Proof please.

We'll see if that's what it was.

What do you think it was? And are you just throwing out accusations now to muddy the waters?

“The Metropolitan Police told the BBC it "spoke to all occupants of the address, who were all safe and well".”

    Maybe she has hurt feelings?
