    Netflix buys Tom Clancy's The Division from director David Leitch and starring Jessica Chastain & Jake Gyllenhaal.
    Netflix has bought distribution to Ubisoft’s “Tom Clancy’s The Division,” a video game adaptation starring Jessica Chastain and Jake Gyllenhaal.

    David Leitch, whose credits include “Deadpool 2” and “Hobbs & Shaw,” is directing the project, which was announced Monday at E3 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Rafe Judkins is adapting the screenplay.

    The story is set in the near future with a pandemic virus spread via paper money on Black Friday, decimating the city of New York and killing millions. By Christmas, what’s left of society has descended into chaos. A group of civilians, trained to operate in catastrophic times, are activated in an attempt to save who and what remains.

    Black Mirror continues to fall off a cliff since its move from Channel 4 to Netflix imo. They just don't have the same impact. They lack the simplicity of the earlier episodes. Some of the twists and revelas in early episodes used to make your skin crawl. Now it's all too telegraphed. The episodes all feel about 20 mins too long.

    Netflix to air Oprah Winfrey When They See Us special
    Netflix will air Oprah Winfrey’s interview with the makers of When They See and the five men whose lives are at its heart.

    Winfrey hosted an Emmy For Your Consideration panel on Sunday with the show’s creator, Ava DuVernay..

    The series chronicles the case of the Central Park Five, five teenagers of color who were convicted of a rape they did not commit. The four-part drama focuses on the teenagers from Harlem – Antron McCray, Kevin Richardson, Yusef Salaam, Raymond Santana and Korey Wise. Beginning in the spring of 1989, when the teenagers were first questioned about the incident, the series will span 25 years, highlighting their exoneration in 2002 and the settlement reached with the city of New York in 2014.

    Ava DuVernay’s enraging, powerful, deeply human retelling of The Central Park Five case is essential viewing,” we wrote in our five-star review.

    The panel saw Winfrey sit down to interview the five men. She also interviewed actors Niecy Nash, Jharrel Jerome, Michael K. Williams, Joshua Jackson, Asante Blackk, Caleel Harris, Ethan Herisse, Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, Freddy Miyares and Justin Cunningham, as well as executive producers Jane Rosenthal and Berry Welsh.

    The panel will air on OWN in the USA this Wednesday, but will also be available to stream on Netflix worldwide from the same day. Here’s a clip:

    Seriously, how do you want this spun? A programme about how falsely imprisoning five teenagers on faulty evidence and dodgy interrogation techniques for 6-13 years made the police sad?

    An odd decision, unless they're going to go with a completely different set of characters; as both leads' arcs were neatly - if slightly ambiguously - tied in a bow. They both found the personal peace they were looking & searching for.

    Didn't think the new black mirror was great. Definitely worst series so far for me.

    First one was okay, second one was okay and third one wasn't great at all for me.

    The guy I was replying to was giving out that the programme where 5 victims of police injustice and wrongful imprisonment was going to be biased.

    Well, D'oh...

    I'd be biased if I was wrongfully incarcerated and then treated like crap by the city of New York after my release.
