All fetuses are originally female a hormone is released to make them male. Nipples are left over from before that in the womb.

Breasts are beautiful things and should not be hidden away under bras and clothing, they should be exposed and in full view of all except for ugly or fat women, theirs should be hidden at all times.

Women have breasts for feeding babies. That's what they are FOR.

Men like looking at them because they are a sign of sexual maturity - eg, until puberty, both boys and girls have only little flat buttons.
Oestrogens make boobs grow bigger.

Also, they may represent the potential for successful reproduction - "These large breasts will make more milk for your offspring, so, your genes will survive"...simple Darwinian stuff.

larger breasts dont produce more milk. Breast size is irrelevant to milk production.

We are how we are because of a chain of random genetic mutations that happen to give an advantage over those who didn't have them. Not necessarily because they were 100% better, but better in some regards. Mammals are better than non-mammals because they can produce food for their offspring, and the fact that both males and females have some kind of breasts/nipples is just a side effect.

Not quite. As ohnonotgmail notes breast size has little to do with milk production. Well that's not quite true. Flat chested two fried eggs on an ironing board is no great shakes at milk production and it can naturally vary between women anyway. Hence one reason for the historical need for wet nurses in pretty much all cultures.

Men looking at them as signs of sexual maturity isn't an answer either. It could be a chicken and egg thing. It's highly likely to be a sexual trait as humans are unique among mammals for having permanently full breasts. Indeed to any of our great ape cousins full breasts are a turn off. Why? Because it says that the female is nursing and sub fertile while doing so. To a chimp flat chests would be Page 3 material. At some point in our evolution this was switched. Being bipedal our frontal aspect becomes more in play for a start. Secondly as our brains got bigger and childhood and child rearing became longer and longer in time, pair bonding became much more a thing, so it's possible permanently full breasts and a lack of obvious oestrus(another major change in humans) made males more likely to stick around for longer. A chimp male knows when the females are in oestrus and fertile and either side of those times show little enough interest in the females. Not great if it requires more time and resources to raise a child. Keeping human males guessing about oestrus, making sex part of pair bonding, keeping them guessing about paternity etc would keep them around for longer.

Other changes happened too. The loss of the penis bone in humans another. The penis got larger too. Humans have the largest of the great apes. Again more frontal. It could also be a big indicator of health and reproductive fitness. A properly functioning penis requires the cardiovascular system to be in good shape, blood sugars controlled, hormones balanced, nervous system in good order and even mental health comes into it. I've often wondered why it's not used more as a a diagnostic tool(pun kinda intended). Impotence is a very obvious sign of something being askew in the human male.

Then there's the migrating clitoris..

Not really sure but it is a very modern one. Even 100 years ago flat chests were looked upon more favourably.

Did anyone actually watch all of that video? It was generally quite interesting but I got fed up with it about half way through. I reckon he had a bet with a mate on how many times he could say 'breasts' in one video.
