All wolves have to do to get past the first Lynch is say nothing. People are allergic.

As Pter says it is mainly just guess work so why not have a guess at a low level poster?

I'd agree with this to an extent. I hate being near the end of a game, looking over old posts and having NOTHING to base my decision on.

If we're guessing, is it better to have the lower posters gone so at least we're basing a later decision on something of substance rather than nothing at all.

I really am going out now. *step AWAY from the computer choc chip*

Well I'm around up to munch anyway. 9am-10am Monday is part of tomorrow, is it not?

If it helps wolves hide elsewhere and avoid scrutiny, it is.

We don't have the luxury of assuming we are going to reach d5 in this game. Each lynch is vital moreso than ever.

I haven't been online and doing my usual stuff to shake trees, and as such don't have strong reads yet. I will do from tomorrow though.

I don't think there'll be as many places to hide starting with slightly lower numbers. And if I can clear someone as village then focusing on a villager to scrutinise is certainly not helping wolves.

Based on my isos earlier. I have notes but they are at home. From what I recall Sully's one post was an odd one. Fixxxer is based on tone. Vale is a cool customer. You seem a bit too focused on mechanics.

I like process and logic. Mechanisms is my dream. If I wasn't so hungover of be doing a matrix of combinations of how we can use each role to help the village.

I really think that once we start and tunnelling and accusations start we'll forget exactly how the roles work. I've seen it in other games.

I don't understand why you think it's goony.
Also SK and BH are the same if not more, why aren't they on your list for that reason?

Clearing a villager isn't as helpful to the village as finding a wolf.

but 9-10am is still part of n0 which you seem so opposed to getting involved in, so, yeah, i took the tomorrow to mean day1, or post 10am.

Hard not to get meta when discussing this but no just stating the fact that from experience not all players will be getting involved during the Day 0 soft open. As stated however I do think that people just about making the 5 post limit once that comes into effect will stand out and rightly need to be looked at.

Because this is a 3 day long Day 0 I understand people being so eager to start trying to catch wolves and with so little info calling out the low level posters is a logical place to start. I just don't have much of a read on them. That said I'm only starting to get used to you lot that are posting regularly... do something strange one of you please

Also you can't clear anyone in this game that way. Powers aren't there to do it and discussion ain't gonna get it done either. Vote analysis is our best tool, imo.

We really need to do some post game analysis to see how often RVs are hiding in the low posters on d0, d1, d2. I'd imagine its actually not that common.

I'm less worried about lynching a RV than I am about NOT lynching a wolf. We've a max of 3 roles and 3 mislynches before it gets real....chances of us actually managing to mislynch all 3 RVs must be small enough

I didn't say d1 or next phase; I said tomorrow. I don't think I could have been clearer in my choice of words.

Very adversarial this game sKeith. I'm not gonna do that because it got you unfairly killed last long game to the detriment of the village. No games or tricks this game.... I'm going off vote analysis, munch analysis, all backed up by gut.

And how do I find wolves? I agree that vote info is useful - very useful - but we dont have any and it usually takes a couple of votes. In the meantime I need to have some sense of who is village or not...when I say clear someone I don't mean lock clear (damn I hate that phrase now) I mean personally clear.

That can’t happen until after the first Lynch though

exactly this, and if a rv is being voted for (public voting) they can alway claim if they suspect they are lynchable that day.

Can I ask for later that people avoid using Lock Clear unless really that person is 100% not a wolf in any circumstances. Too much do seem to like a posters posting style etc and that makes them "lock clear" recently.

As I said you can't find any yet. That's why this read lists on d0 thing is just silly. Yes it's an extended d0 but we have nothing to go on. Most of the thread is waffle.

Bagpipes can I just ask about this. I always find it easier to build my village around me by clearing others and narrowing down who the wolves could be that way. I’ve never been a good wolf hunter per se in the way some of you guys are by shaking trees and noticing things in people’s post.

Surely it’s good to have a mix of people like the two above working together so some people hunt wolves and some clear villagers and together they’re an unstoppable team?

^^ Me justifying to myself that I’m not completely useless :o

Who is the Genie? I assumed you meant I was giving some quiet person a reason to stay quiet until after Day 0 ends. Or am I the Genie? Not like I've not been around though

SK has largely been responding to posts about them rather than bringing it up.

As to why I think it's wolfy is the same reason I've given...spending time on thread discussing what way a village role might play out is the ideal cover for a wolf. They can make lots of suggestions and keep the discussion focused on that rather than on who is a wolf. Lets say I have a role...any questions I have about that role can be answered by the mods. Now lets say Im a villager without a role, what does it matter to me what someone else decides to do with it?
The best way I can help RVs is to focus on who I think is a wolf and make a case for it.

    Sully,
    You,
    Fixxer
    Baggly
    Vale

Top suspects at the moment in that order but liable to change.

    Awww. But I like you.

Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue

Others can knock themselves out playing however they want. But if methods arrive at the conclusion I'm wolfy and I for a fact know 100% sure I'm not a wolf, the methods must be bollox.

If you are looking to clear people on d0 you are gonna be disappointed.

I've been especially waffly this game so far because it's d0 and the main topic of discussion for a good while was shooting me for no apparent reason.

But yes, can't really disagree with you there.

building village is best way to wolf hunt.

you just need to be wary of being pocketed by a wolf and letting a wolf into your village. But that same wolf won't usually pocket everybody, so look at other peoples villages too and if there is someone in your village that is in nobodies elses, ask yourself how they got in there and review it.

those outside your village are your main suspects.

I don’t think anyone has blatantly said anyone is a wolf or lock clear. It is Day0 and as I said reads won’t be strong and of course they’re going to change just as people’s suspicions on others will change also. I do think it’s a good talking point though and it’s good to gauge people’s reactions to them.

On you being shot, I have read that from the start as a joke related to popcorn? With it being Day0 somebody has to be suspicious that’s just how it goes but it’s how people react to that that really matters.

There has been a lot of waffle but I think there has been some useful posts the last couple of days too.
