I think you're right on that BH. I think it's mostly vanilla with a dash of flavour in the form of some basic roles.

I'm also super wary of people spending time trying to work out what the village have/ don't have and how to use that. Mechanics talk gives wolves a nice hiding space where they can appear to contribute.
What should be be talking about instead?

Maybe you missed this from op

Seems to be laid out very clearly what to expect.

Not really that is the exact part that made me think there is a 50/50 chance we are up against just Goons and therefore could have at most 1 wolf that could be spotted doing a night action despite potentially having multiple RVs who can track/block etc night actions all of whom would be hoping to get this one wolf and not each other if they even get someone.

That made me think maybe they could do more than stated in the OP (not unheard of). That said I am inclined to think it is probably a more vanilla game than that as said above.

I think that it’s important we al make some sort of guess before the first munch give that’s the first action and we’ll be analyzing the dead persons posts.

Those that have contributed little at that point either in substance and/or quantity need to be looked at for the first Lynch.

I think some posters don't really get involved until Day 0 is over so I won't be as focused on the low posters until Day 1 has properly begun but with each day (esp Day 0) lasting so long it will be interesting to see who is just about meeting the post limit.

    Sully,
    You,
    Fixxer
    Baggly
    Vale

Top suspects at the moment in that order but liable to change.

Only a wolf claims NRV here and you've done it more than once.

I always claim nrv when I'm nrv. Why wouldn't I?

    reads lists are counter productive?

    At this stage/phase, yes.
    sKeith wrote:
You wont even participate in the game and you call what others are doing counter productive.

How am I not participating? I'm not posting as much as usual but then I'm usually quiet on d0 (Sundays) and this game has a super long d0 so....

What you are doing is counter productive as its all premature. You have nothing to base anything you are saying on.
    sKeith wrote:
the game is 48 hours old and nearly 400 posts and you say absence of substance.

How many of them are pure waffle or gifs. Honestly, it's D0. Calm yourself.

I'd be happy to see you lynched first.

That's your prerogative but given we only have 3 mislynches to spare, you would want to be basing your vote on more than what you have presented against me.

    same,

give your list, the you can start pulling others list apart, but first give your own, so you are on equal footing. Don't throw stones until you have put yourself on same pedestal.

Based on my isos earlier. I have notes but they are at home. From what I recall Sully's one post was an odd one. Fixxxer is based on tone. Vale is a cool customer. You seem a bit too focused on mechanics.

Could have been me emphasizing how it is Day 0 and how I won't be clearing anyone this early nor have super strong leanings on anyone this early most likely as I can't blame people for not being around Day0 even if it is a few days long but the more info put out on thread the better for later analysis so if you want to do reads lists i'd say fire ahead.

Often those contributing bring focus upon themselves but in the long term it's better.

I get what you’re saying. I wouldn’t be looking at low level posters just yet, they’d just have a null read. Reads wouldn’t be very strong at this point anyway, more so just my own thoughts and you all know I love a gut feeling early on :pac:

I think they’re a good talking point anyway, when people are pointed at in them it gets them talking and with so little to go on this early that can only be a good thing if you ask me :)

Killing me is a massive mistake, waste of time and waste of discussion.

At least the post limit per day means we will get 5 times (5 times 5 times!) the posts we have gotten from Sulli minimum. Non of the stuff from the last long game where a week in we still had a player on under 5 posts iirc.

I'm fairly sure I posted my read list when I stumbled on last night. So i have, which is why I asked Ecto for hers

Ah discussion is never a waste. Never know who will slip up or how. Killing you might well be a mistake though and I'd certainly not be advocating it yet.

Not to be mean but you'd not even make my FFA yet ;):)

All wolves have to do to get past the first Lynch is say nothing. People are allergic.

As Pter says it is mainly just guess work so why not have a guess at a low level poster?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,691 ✭✭✭Ectoplasm

    Allergic to wolves? :D

If it helps wolves hide elsewhere and avoid scrutiny, it is.

We don't have the luxury of assuming we are going to reach d5 in this game. Each lynch is vital moreso than ever.

I haven't been online and doing my usual stuff to shake trees, and as such don't have strong reads yet. I will do from tomorrow though.

We really need to do some post game analysis to see how often RVs are hiding in the low posters on d0, d1, d2. I'd imagine its actually not that common.
