Most nevous i’ve been watching a game in a long time, heart rate was above 90 for most of the game, Origi desrves a new contract for letting us enjoy the last few minutes alone

When I saw the Spurs team I was confident.

Thought they might play Sanchez RB or Foyth ahead of Trippier.

Lucas Moura who scored against us in March, the CL semi hatrick & not starting was an incredible decision.

Managers do strange things when it comes to players and selections. They all have their favourites and logic be damned.

Yeah he should p!ssed off at that. I know Kane is their main player but they were a man down starting him. I think we’d have been saying similar about the main man if we lost.

    YNWA.

Moura has been poor enough in general for Spurs since Kane got injured. He's done some high profile stuff but they'd lost 5 of 8. Kane is their best player and i think starting him was the right call... him finishing the game was madness tho. Klopp did similar in starting Bobby who wasn't at the races at all but he actually fixed that issue. That was one of the key differences last night.

Rewatched it with the little fella this morning (was waay past his bedtime, he's only 2 - tho i did let the 1 week old stay up and watch it... not that i had a choice in that or that he can actually properly see yet but anyway) and that game was soooo comfortable. Like we were pants but we were also incredibly comfortable. Bar the Moura chance they created nothing... and even that was a bit of a lucky chance. Deserved winners tbh.

You could argue similar with Firmino on the pitch after shorter term injury. He was way off pace and probably should have been dropped. I was surprised with Milner starting on the bench. We need his tenacity.

I'll tell you what, I was 8 when I saw Alan Kennedy biff one into Madrid's net. I didn't really understand the significance of the goal but it got me hooked and, 37 years later I'm as obsessed as ever. The great thing about last night is that there'll be thousands of other 8 year olds around the world watching this team and deciding 'That's the team for me'. This is one of the many great things about last night. Some team this, lads.

Another thing I loved from last night was that most of the spurs flags were on St George's crosses or on union jacks. Liverpool's ones were all about Liverpool. Liverpool is scouse, not English.
