Is ethnic globalisation inevitable?

Today John Cleese says London no longer feels like an English city, and I'm sure many people of his generation agree. We're increasingly seeing more and more people in the world try to fight growing tide of globalisation at the ballot box, movements like Brexit and Trump were largely fueled as a result of a backlash to ongoing globalisation.

Have a look at the percentage of white British population in the UK for example since World War II:

    1951 - 99.8%
    1961 - 99.2%
    1971 - 97.8%
    1981 - 96.5%
    1991 - 94.5%
    2001 - 92.1%
    2011 - 87.0%
2021 - (probably somewhere in the 80%-85% region)

This is only going in one direction. Now I'm personally a fan of globalisation and embrace this change, but a lot of people as we know don't and movements like Trump and Brexit are largely motivated (although not every Brexit/Trump voter I stress voted because of this) to try and stop what they see as the erosion of the nation state and ongoing cultural and ethnic globalisation.

I personally think these people (e.g. Gemma O'Doherty) are on losing cause, ethnic globalisation to me is simply inevitable. The vast majority of human population isn't white, infact only 10-15% is, and obviously a lot of non whites are going to continue to flock to wealthier countries (which largely happen to be white) and thus demographic changes ensure.

Is ethnic globalisation of humanity inevitable?

China is becoming a huge global super power and it limits its immigration - not wanting to be like the west. I think the diversity of cultures just creates problems - birds of a feather flock together. And the people with no identity are the most pitiful and will be taken advantage of. Also the west is a big attraction to people who want free social welfare benefits, thats why alot of migrants bypass alot of safe countries to get here. On the other hand I think that limited immigration of intelligent people on work visas is extremely beneficial for the economy and also these people are alot more civilised. BUT across all developed countries no matter the culture or 'multi-culture', the fertility rate is falling because women are not having families like they use to, due to work/career been their first priority and everything been so damn expensive. So the idea of mass immigration is a temporary solution to this. In the long run I think the issue will be how to increase the fertility rate, that or increase automation. Then if you have less people, well you will need those kids to be high IQ so that they can be engineers to run the automation tools. We would need some fundamental changes in our society for that to happen

You don't mind if I have your house do you? Considering your British ancestry like. I have it on good authority that you have no right to complain.

    Yes.

Especially now that climate change has kicked in.

There'll definitely be wars over it.

The same John Cleese who's clearing off to the Caribbean? He's just another old hypocrite who contributes nothing. He dog whistles about London not being English while he's off to whiten up Nevis.

The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the LORD your God.

And I can criticise said opinion last I checked.

Where there is emigration and immigration, mixed race will be a feature. It is the group with the largest increase in the UK census. Someone living there could have grandparents from Jamaica, England, Ireland and Russia. What does that make them? And if they have children with a Nigerian, what then?

I saw a poll on here asking Irish people whether they would be ok if White Irish people became a minority in Ireland.

75% were against it, which to me is surprising, because to me whether they like it or not its very likely to happen anyway and I think those people should just accept that and embrace it.

Care to elaborate? Why do you embrace globalistaion and are a fan of it?

Fools... they should have raped the natives and claimed the resources. What on Earth what were they thinking?

Unbelievable post. Why should Irish people embrace becoming a minority in their own land???

Because I don't care very much for the nation state, not a fan of patriotism or nationalism, and tend to view humanity (i.e. all 7.5 billion of us) collectively as one.

Only in certain parts of the world. The white empire is over. This is the generation that screwed it up after a millenia of dominance. There are parts of Eastern Europe that will never be conquered though.

Samely the Chinese, Japanese, Koreans will never be opened up to "diversity". The Western Europe and America will be their history lesson.

Sadly a lot of your children, grandchildren will have nowhere to go. Eastern Europe will just close themselves off, Asia will remain the same, The US and Canada will be gone too. They'll be living in a 3rd world ****hole.

Over the space of 100 years we will have went from the most advanced people on the planet to importing lesser cultures and getting lesser culture. We will be living off handouts from China.

Would you be ok with 7.495 billion people moving in to Ireland? Do you think the system would handle it? I'd say the housing crisis would get slightly worse, no?

Ethnic spread has happened thousands of years ago,
    The Romans did it.
    The Vikings did it.
    The Normans did it.
    The Brits did it.

Yeah but that's a hypothetical situation that will never happen even in an pure open borders world.

I do think there is a problem with current overpopulation in the world though. We're growing at a billion every 12 years which I think don't think is good.

You're around 7.5 billion times more caring than the average person, which is very commendable.

7.495 billion people moving to Ireland would be a dream come true for any Irish people clever enough to move abroad.

Sure. Still, there's probably a few hundred million people very eager to set their foot on Irish soil. Arrival of only a few million of those would completely collapse the healthcare/education/welfare/housing system here.

So, where do you draw a line in the sand? Is there a line at all? I am genuinely interested in your way of thinking.

I do think there is a problem with current overpopulation in the world though. We're growing at a billion every 12 years which I think don't think is good.

Well, the numbers don't lie. It's not exactly "we", is it?

It's fine, climate change will sort it out.

The fool John Cleese moved to the Caribbean when he could have just moved to Brixton.
