They’re usually better without yellow plates.

You will have to pay VRT on top of that asking price.

Cheap tax, long nct, lots of recent work done with receipts, looks in good nick.
    Practical yoke.

That’s decent. Love to have something like that and convert it to a camper.

Some of us have a northern address.

It fits the criteria, sub 2k, and has a valid mot.

I had a 2009 1.4 VVTI for a year and overall I personally wouldn't rate them that high. It felt noticeably flimsy compared to the 04 1.4 VVTI Corolla I previously had. In particular the plastics in the interior were fairly woefully thinny and didn't seem that well screwed together. Was noticeably heavier on juice than the Corolla despite having the same engine and not any more peppy for it. No doubt it would fair better with the diesel engine options and the 1.4 d4d is supposed to be a bit of a gem. 2.0 d4d not so popular in the Auris in the Republic. Also, seemed to have a high centre of gravity. Cross winds seemed to upset it very badly on motorways.

Overall felt like an inferior product compared to any other Toyota I've ever owned and I have owned quite a few at this stage.

One of the criteria for this thread is VRT being paid.

It's not sub 2k though, mot isn't valid in this country and if we are then allowed to submit foreign registered cars we may as well post cars from all over the EU :)

    2003 X-Trail 2.0 Petrol Auto €1000

Nice spec model, leather, heated seats.
    NCT til Feb 2020
Michelin tyres on it which would make you think they are more likely to take good care of it.
Taxed til march next year which is ~600 quids worth of tax.
Only issue is might have bit of trouble getting insured on it.
I'm very nearly tempted myself except bought a new car only a few months ago, but I had being looking at x-trails anyway. If I thought I could get the money back on my own I probably would.
I might go view it anyway as I think I recognize the estate and its not far from me.
What do others think, anything to watch out for on these, I think the 2.0 diesel had problems but the petrol was solid enough.

Nice but I think fuel economy is shocking.

If the mot is recent it can be exchanged for NCT.

Price is grand as stated but I'd accept 600 for it. :p Why not on Donedeal?

Alloys, 2keys if there are, climate control. Alloys could do with a good clean and if you could get photos on a brighter day.

1395 is sub 2k (Vrt if bringing it through is €571, which is still sub 2k.)
MOT is valid in 6 counties.
    Car is located in Donegal.
It's not as though it'll have to be shipped anywhere.

You'd need a receipt from the north stating the date it was imported , that might be an issue if it's in the republic already.

Not sure which version you checked but when I checked it was nearly 700 to vrt it.
You then need to immediately nct it and tax it.
Valid in 6 counties.. Which aren't in our country correct?
Car is located in donegal, is it road legal in donegal?
What is the point in this debate I don't know but it doesn't exactly confirm to the requirements here.
Start a thread for cars registered in other countries which can be considered cheap if you think its still worthy.

It’s definately a 2.0. Gear shifter is different on them for lift up reverse.

Missus bought this today for 1600 as a 2nd car.
Tidy motor. Some amount of storage in it.

08 1 owner Panda, NCT till Feb 2020, bit of tax, low miles, €1100

Not a bad car for the money really

Worth zero imo. 2.0 petrol auto on the old tax system, no tax or test. Be lucky to get €80 never mind €800.

I see Donedeal have finally added an NCT filter in the search bar, handy for this thread

Just noticed that about 10 mins ago myself!
    About time they added it.

One feature they are seriously lacking compared to Adverts and Facebook etc is location search. Still only narrows it by county, but hopefully they will add that soon also
