I know I'm pushing the 2k limit slightly here, but I genuinely think you'd pull it across the line for 2k

Brand new NCT last week until May 2020 and a bit of tax left to drive it home! :D

When he said privacy glass I was thinking partition!

    I guess he means tinted.

Is it not criminal having a manual box in car like that.

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to ask here as it seems to be going the other way but I'm in the market for a 'banger'. Travellers crashed into my car on Monday and to avoid the guards etc bought it from me for cash on the side of the road. I got more than my insurance would have paid out so I was lucky in one way.

Anyhow, I'm looking for a Toyota Corolla or Carina - showing my age... Avensis (saloon), no higher than a 1.6 and registered in the latter end of 2008 to get the cheaper tax. It needs to be super reliable and have decent tyres that won't need changing. I won't be able to afford to do anything to it. On my extra wishlist is that it'll be diesel. I have up to €2K to spend but not a cent more and even that is pushing it.

You can’t have everything on your wish list.

You’d easily get a petrol Avensis, early 2008 had cheaper tax.

This might suit ya. Its been for sale for ages due to an unrealistic asking price. If you went to view it and made a genuine offer a bit below €2k you'd probably get it.

    Test till November 2020
    Cheap tax
    Very reliable
    Parts are super cheap
    Great mpg

You do know they could still put in an insurance claim against you..... I would be contacting insurance and stating the facts that there was a collision and they took responsibility.

they gave you some cash for a car that they crashed into?

do you still have the registration cert? Is the car still in your name?

Not saying it's a total deal breaker at that price but the panel gaps around the front of the car wouldn't inspire a lot of confidence.

Funnyhole. Women and smartphones  I'll pop across and snap some myself over the weekend.

My own car will probably not make it through the next NCT so I'm sniffing around to see what's out there that I'd like.

I generally dislike Mercs but I have a liking for these. How good bad are they?

    Bad. Very bad.

Loads of electrical gremlins, rust and petrol engines from lactose free milk chocolate. And they aren't the most economical either, the Kompressor motors drink like sailors.

Yeah, wouldn't go near one of that generation C-Class.

"You normally can't get these cars with this trim level and low mileage".

That's a good thing, absence of leather would turn me off it :pac:

Maybe it's my eyesight, but I can't genuinely see anything that is majorly off in those pics??

Also, I see it's now down to 1995 from 2350, but as you said, at this money, it certanly would not be a deal breaker for me either
