On Cronin's try, the contribution of the props is better when I watch it back. Healy took the pass and then had the presence to step and straighten to fix the defender before passing. Furlong then dummies a pass which allows him see Carbery is out of position and can't take Cronin. It's very simple but I doubt there are many prop combinations in Europe that would execute it.

Front row combinations to finish it....

I hope we get a gif or clip of the Lowe/Conway incident around the 75th minute. They get into a fight, separate and Lowe immediately launches himself into a ball carrier and forces a knock on. He got up and started laughing at Conway.

It's genuinely hard not to laugh at Conway. He's a yellow pack Mike Brown who regularly runs halfway across the pitch so he can get involved in any bit of argy bargy that's going on!

They were in a tangle. A few verbals. Then Lowe ploughed into the tackle with manace and really goaded Conway back. Not criticizing Lowe, basically ‘how ya like that’ at Conway ....carries over into the post game handshakes too though which you don’t see too often. Though it was Conway looking back with the verbals at Lowe moved on...

I'm almost certain it didn't. They shook hands and then Conway turns back, after Lowe had moved down the line and said something but the expression on his face was very much one of conciliation. I imagine he was saying something along the lines of "let's forget about that incident out there" as opposed to trying to start the fight again.

What was with Haley walking off before Sexton took the final conversion?

Two poor teams out there for me, Leinster edged it and deserved winners, congrats. Funny auld game, thought we (a bit surprisingly) beat Leinster up in the scrums the whole game bar a couple of scrums, had an impressive first half hour... But then so many penalties. Stupid ones (Beirne especially) that just eased the pressure valve or gifted possession back. Awful back play as per our season.

Both sides were poor in attack, spilling ball, turned over. Leinster must have thrown three passes into touch or behind their man in the first half. Thought we had the upper hand in the centres the whole game. Earls looked lively but got crap ball all day. Stander carried well. Haley's effort on Lowe right at the death was appalling, gotta hit someone with upperbody strength like that round the ankles.

Leinster turned the screw in the second half, had Scannell regathered that chargedown on Henshaw it would have made for an interesting finish. Luke McGrath was very poor I thought, JvdV is a freak - what a performance. We'll need him for the RWC. Ringrose was poor too I thought, he's actually not in great form of late for me. Lowe still can't defend, great going forward mind, he's like a turbocharged Adam Byrne.

I dunno if I was a Leinster fan would I be overjoyed at the performance once you pare back the interprovincial aspect of it and look at it.

    Congrats Leinster, deserved winners.

There's always next season, that's the thing about this game! See ye there.

That's two big games in a row Munster have completely failed to fire a shot. Worrying to be honest because that's a formidable team in comparison to previous years.

Still think the problem is at the top to be honest.

The top two inches for me.

Look at Conway - could have been a good rugby player but decided that he'd rather be a hard man. Where was he for Lowe's try? - chasing shadows in midfield.

He was hyped up from schools and u20's, bit of truth in what u say, has made hims self into a hard committed rugby player with pace. But that's all you get really

That's a bizarre take on it and I suspect not one you would take if the scoreline was reversed. They're two of the best teams in Europe and played like it. Munster's attack is a problem but it has long been a problem against any side that can beat them in the forwards. Their continuity and retention was pretty good for the most part but lacked some focus and creativity in the red zone. Another team could have shipped 40 today.

Leinster's attack was excellent in the second half. Not sure how it was poor. 10 line breaks is decent. The Cronin try was superb from the line out maul to being dotted down. Excellent lines from Kearney, Lowe and Conan. Very good direction from Byrne to sling it wide twice at the perfect moment and brilliant play from the front row.

The physicality and pressure from both defences was a huge factor in the teams respective errors which is a credit to both sides.

Screwed with Sextons perception of the pitch size, making him skew the kick to the left of the posts.

He's dubbed it the 'Haley Mary'.

Childish. Even if he was hurt (which he didn't really appear to be) stand there for 90 seconds and do the mature thing. I doubt his colleagues thought much of it. Slightly surprising to see a pro player do that. Eir panel called him out for it too.

We see this embarrassing rubbish every time Munster are beaten by Leinster. Every single time.

Even if he's right Munster must be in done shape to be beaten on that scoreline.

In comparison to saracens performance last week, this was two good teams playing poorly and only half interested in the outcome.

Well done Leinster , by far the better team today.

Jack Conan nearly looked as fresh at 80 as he did after 1 minute.

Great kicking option but I don't rate him outside of that. There's a reason he's not even picked for the wider squads for Ireland in the last couple of years.

or just a very poor team (munster) playing a poor gameplan against a good team (Leinster) playing a very good gameplan.

Does that make you happier ?

Could easily have been MoM. Didn't steal ball at rucks as obviously as VdF but had hundreds of contributions.

Conan Certainly looked a lot better today than last week. VDF was absolutely brilliant , putting stander at 7 against him was a big mistake

Not particularly nor does it tally up with your original comment claiming the teams were only half interested in the outcome which is ridiculous.

Fardy made a huge difference when he came on . Also had a big game last week
Goes to show the right imports along with Lowe today can make a huge difference to most teams.

Both team did only look half insterested. Leinster didn’t even start their strongest team.

Is it not enough for you that Leinster won Easily enough today ?
Are you not happy with the result ?(I’m not but then I’m a Munster fan and we lost)

Leinster had 100 percent ruck success despite Beirne, POM and CJ. Was it too heavyweight a backrow from munster?

Thought POM did make one jackal steal right on the leinster left touchline near the 22 in the 1st half. But he then got bundled into touch so was just a Leinster lineout.

Thought Murray was poor again today. He should not have started.
    POM was anonymous.
Our front row were well on top in the scrum (surprisingly enough) but didn’t map around the park like their Leinster counterparts.

As a fellow limerick man, Happy for Cronin ,great game today, hopefully he goes to the WC .

Bookies had it at a 7 point spread beforehand

The final spread was 15 points.

So either one team excelled in the expectations or the other team disappointed.

Or maybe a bit of both.

Just watching back the TV coverage, by jaysus O'Callaghan and EOS eviscerated a few Munster lads for attitude and application.

What Donnacha said was important; when the likes of POM Murray and Beirne are off with Ireland, a few new leaders are going to have to grab the Munster Pre-Season by the scruff of the neck and set some serious goals and levels of acceptability.

Hope he’s still smirking next week when Glasgow annihilate ye.
You remind me of the Munster fans cheering on Leicester Tigers at the final in Murrayfield.

In the attempt to tackle Lowe he got a boot to the head. he looked in diffs immediately.

If you could rephrase this in a way that would promote derision of Haleys character, that would be swell.
