Leinster had 100 percent ruck success despite Beirne, POM and CJ. Was it too heavyweight a backrow from munster?

Just very effective work from Leinster I think. Nobody got isolated, two players arrived to clear out.

Enjoying a few pints with the opposition fans in a friendly atmosphere helps.

Botha was utterly anonymous I thought. Brought next to nothing to the game outside of a few carries where he made a few metres.

There's a real gap for a top class 12 and openside at Munster.

Enjoy one for me while you're there. Hard luck today. Hopefully some of the rumours around the backs coach role are true and things get better next season.

Munster lack a 7 and a creative midfielder. Don’t see them going anywhere unless they fix that.

Munster should bend over backwards to get someone like Kurtley Beale.

Thought farrell and scannell were competely off kilter today.

In modern rugby, with fast blitz lines, use your playermaker at 13 and you power carrier at 12.

Farrell was good today, but munster couldn't capatlise, scannell was ineffective

Lowe and Conway seemed to have a few words there again. 2 lads that really don’t like each other

Conway will like him less when Lowe becomes IQ and pushes him down the pecking order for the national team.

Beirne was better utilised at the Scarlets. He could be so much better.

The ridiculous thing is that Lowe is just a smiley person, it's not even sledging
He's like that off the pitch too, he's literally the smiliest person ever.

Absolutely. The lad just loves playing rugby. Some see it one way but I see it as a lad that loves rugby and even when you are having pot shots at him he’ll just smile his way through.

Just home from a very satisfying afternoon.

Leinster warmed nicely into the game and moved through the gears after having a little look at what Munster were about. Exactly the right approach after last weekend.

Defence was very good and individual commitment unquestionable, Van der Flier is an outrageous athlete and talent but special mentions for Conan, Ryan, Cronin and Lowe.

All I can say for Munster is that their good players are being done a disservice by the lack of invention and adaption by their coaches, they must develop a more sophisticated approach and soon.

Glasgow were flattered last night, but Leinster will need to get in behind and turn them to do damage so looking for a better kicking game in Parkhead.

100%. He is a really likeable guy, no malice in it at all, aad that people cant appreciate it.

Thought Farrell was the standout player for Munster, excellent physicality going forward, some decent defence too.

Yet again, Lenister back row destroyed Munsters. Hope this helps transition the balance of the back row in green from predominantly red, as I feel the current balance has not been right for some time.

I remember o Driscoll lauding scannel as the next star Irish Centre. I haven’t seen much more from him than any of our other centers. He blocked one kick and then knocked on.....disaster.

Enjoyed that match - good atmosphere in the RDS, I thought. A Leinster win never seemed in doubt - Munster never really looked like scoring a try.

Next week will be a different matter. Glasgow seem to be playing well, but you couldn't really judge them against Ulster last night. Should be a good match.

I was pleased with the result, but sweet jesus now I can't stop smirking.

Nothing better than witnessing someone who can't handle defeat hitting a low point.

    A Lowe point

Great kicking option but I don't rate him outside of that. There's a reason he's not even picked for the wider squads for Ireland in the last couple of years.

If you look closely, you can see the exact moment Joey realises he shouldn't have met Joe Schmidt for that cup of coffee.

I completely agree. This has to be looked at by Joe Schmidt.

On Cronin's try, the contribution of the props is better when I watch it back. Healy took the pass and then had the presence to step and straighten to fix the defender before passing. Furlong then dummies a pass which allows him see Carbery is out of position and can't take Cronin. It's very simple but I doubt there are many prop combinations in Europe that would execute it.

I hope we get a gif or clip of the Lowe/Conway incident around the 75th minute. They get into a fight, separate and Lowe immediately launches himself into a ball carrier and forces a knock on. He got up and started laughing at Conway.

Watched it again. They contested a high ball. Conway gets up and is standing over Lowe, waiting for him to get up (he's tangled up with POM on the deck). As soon as Lowe gets to his feet Conway goes for him. Either something happened in that ruck or had been simmering already. Conway looked to be offering words of peace after the match though.

Great read and hit from Lowe though following that. Game was dead already but it was a moment that revved up the crowd further.

They were in a tangle. A few verbals. Then Lowe ploughed into the tackle with manace and really goaded Conway back. Not criticizing Lowe, basically ‘how ya like that’ at Conway
....carries over into the post game handshakes too though which you don’t see too often. Though it was Conway looking back with the verbals at Lowe moved on...
