As legit a signing as Genoa "paying" €20m for Sturaro. Have to fudge the books somewhere to pay Ronaldo.
Fitting Juve win the league on an og as it shows how incompetent the opposition were. Even then Fiorentina made a hat of chances but didn't take them.
Wouldn't rule out Atalanta winning in Naples on Monday. They have the second leg of the Coppa Italia semi final on Thursday then.

Napoli vs Atalanta coming up at 6pm. I see Eir Sport 2 are showing it. Teams:
Napoli XI: Ospina; Malcuit, Chiriches, Koulibaly, Hysajs; Callejon, Allan, Zielinski, Fabian Ruiz; Mertens, Milik.

Atalanta XI: Gollini; Djimsiti, Mancini, Masiello; Hateboer, Freuler, de Roon, Castagne; Pasalic; Zapata, Gomez.

An Atalanta win moves them into the top four on goal difference. Surprised to see Ilicic starting on the bench. Insigne is on the bench for Napoli as well.

Love to see Atalanta get the win. Hoping for a goal or two from Zapata.

Mertens makes it 1-0 Napoli. Or perhaps it was a Mancini O.G.

Nicely worked goal. Rain is really coming down in Naples.

    Zapata equalises!

Atalanta blessed to still be in this game. Hateboer with the assist having just made a crucial last ditch tackle minutes earlier.

Gasperini has been sent off for arguing with the ref.

An Atalanta win moves them into the top four on goal difference. .

They'd be 5th as Milan have the better head-to-head record (2-2 in in the San Siro, 1-3 loss for Atalanta inAtleti Azzurri d'Italia).

    Atalanta lead 2-1! Pasalic via Zapata's back-heel.

    Damn, was thinking goal difference.

Napoli look a total mess the last few months. Most of their good players I reckon want out, left or are past their prime.

    Go wan Atlanta

    What a win

Big result for Atalanta. Could have easily gone the other way. Right in the mix now.

Napoli with a lot of problems. Will be interesting to see the comings and goings there in the summer. Insigne didn't get off the bench tonight...

Really, what are Napoli playing for? Since the last 10+ years they are always second best, "flatter to lie"?

Problems are in the ownership. ADL will always blame "powers" for his sides not performing, which always makes mental weakness, in the opinion I hold.

Hamsik leaving killed all momentum - he was the man who made them tick

Milan vs Lazio is every bit as dour as the first leg.
Have no clue what Gattuso is trying to do with this team. Granted it's dire but how Paqueta is in the squad & not playing is a mystery.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,611 ✭✭✭✭ERG89

Paqueta doesn't even get on, I might go blind with rage watching this. Not a spark of quality on the ball.
Gattuso gets himself in good positions and sh*ts the bed every time it matters.
Lazio thoroughly deserve the lead fwiw

Atalanta through after an uncharacteristic mistake from Lafont.
Really hope they win the final for what they've done the last few seasons, especially the way Lazio have went over and above to detract from their good result yesterday with some truly disturbing behaviour by their travelling fans & the idiots running that club.

Looking to pick up tickets for the Lazio Atalanta game next weekend if anyone could give a bit of advice... Have been keeping an eye out and the lazio website still doesn't seem to have the tickets listed ( https://www.sslazio.it/en ). Anyone know if/when they're likely to be available on the website? I see a few of the resale websites have them up alright (viagogo etc). Or would we be better waiting and picking up tickets over there?

I'd say you can wait until you are over there although if possible I would try and get them in the days before the match. Lazio matches generally don't sell even half the stadium although seeing as them and Atalanta are fighting for a CL spot there may may be more fans then usual.

Missed the start of the game but this was some hit by Nainggolan

That old battle axe Ronaldo equalised. One all.

They tend to put tickets on sale at random moments. I believe because of the rivalry between Atalanta and Lazio they may even not sell them online.

You won't have a single problem though picking them up in town on the day of the game, I've done it myself.

From the highlights it looked like Inter were the better side. Would have been a big win for them, although looking at their remaining fixtures they should be okay: 3 of their 4 remaining opponents are near the foot of the table.

Speaking of the bottom end, big result for Bologna against Empoli coming from 1-0 down to win 3-1. Hard to see a way back for Empoli now.

You can only buy tickets online if you have a supporters card I think.
Otherwise buy them when you are there, you will have to have your passport as proof that you are a tourist. You will also need to bring your passport with you the game. You will have no problem buying the ticket from a Lazio store.

If I could, I'd pick up this Milan side with a tissue and flush them down the toilet.
Absolutely terrible with a bang average manager who's ideas are like a reverse Macgyver at times.

Milan are throwing CL football away.

Something drastic has to happen to the club now and that has to start with Gattuso being fired

That's a surprise. Great chance for Atalanta to move fourth with a win over Udinese tomorrow.

They've just taken the lead against Udinese thanks to a de Roon penalty. Less than ten minutes remaining. Not watching the game but hope they can see it out.

2-0, Pasalic. Good game, Atalanta were all over them.

We are one up in derby. What to bet Juventus make a penalty in 2nd half?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,643 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

Great result for Udinese's survival hopes getting a point against Inter. The away side's Champions League hopes have taken a dent but I'd be surprised if they miss out based on their remaining fixtures. Napoli away will be tough, but even if they lose that, Chievo and Empoli at home should be wins. I think 69 points will be enough to get CL football since both Atalanta and Roma would have to win all their games to overtake them - and they both have to play Juve.

Edit: Correction, I think Atalanta would need to win 3 games and draw with Juve in the above scenario. Still feel that's a tall order. Not that I'd be relaxed if I were an Inter fan!

Bad start for Atalanta. 1-0 down to Lazio after Parolo's goal.

1-1! Zapata equalises after the ball falls kindly to him in the box. They weren't playing great before that. Hope they can kick on and get another.

2-1 Atalanta. Castagne slots home after good play by Gomez.

3-1 Atalanta. Djimsiti's header after Gomez involved again. 15 minutes to go. Nearly there.
