Wouldn't have expected him of all people to be a mercenary.

Neither I, but I don't judge the players.

If that's what they want let it be.

The aspect of living in China could be interesting for some, too. And money :)

Yes without doubt. He's been on fire lately and 2 goals for Italy too during the last break.

The Cagliari fans were a disgrace tonight, being racist towards a young Italian footballer who they were probably celebrating his goals just a couple weeks ago. Needs to be stamped out completely.

Kean more than held his own and was right to celebrate like he did. A credit it to him

I think there is momentum building to start treating racist chants more harshly.

I think its only a matter of time before players walk off. I seen a Brazilian do it in Bolivia recently, but it needs some bigger names from bigger teams to do it, and then UEFA and FIFA will have to take it seriously.

I am fed up seeing teams given punitive punishment like fines and closing stadia. That will never work. They need to start throwing teams out of qualifying competitions, or if its in Serie A or a league, dock them points. Football is so rich with cash these days, fines make no sense, and won't work.

Dock Cagliari maybe 3 pts tonight, their fans will soon cut it out.

Well Juve certainly aren't going to walk off when some of their players have opinions like Bonuccis. Allegris reaction wasn't overly supportive of his player either. Pretty pathetic stuff.

Crazy statement from Bonucci. The mind boggles at sh*t like that.

This is his own teammate Bonucci's reaction to it:

    https://twitter.com/juvefcdotcom/status/1113192035337551872
"Moise, could you try being less black please?"

Bonucci is a coward of a man and afraid to upset the raciest Ultra's

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,953 ✭✭✭✭yourdeadwright

The best reaction to this would have been for the Cagliari captain to tell his players to walk off the pitch ,

it'll take something like that to stop it, Italy is horrific of this type of thing ,

18 point gap after Napoli lost.

Iccardi back in the fold at inter, good penalty too.

Just saw the highlights and Icardi looked good. Did hit the post when clear on goal but I suppose he'll be rusty. Got an assist as well as his goal. A lot of Inter's rivals for the Champions League places dropped points this gameweek.

Empoli beating Napoli is a big result for their survival hopes. Likewise SPAL beating Lazio.

Really enjoyed Juve Milan, Kean with another. Some talent. Pjanic was the difference tho when he came on.

Looking at Twitter it seems the ref played his role too.

Pleased for Kean to get the winner after what must have been a tough few days. Piatek with another big goal as well.

Excited for Inter vs Atalanta. Gasperini's side are in good form and playing some lovely stuff. I'd like to see them make the top four. Pity Zapata misses out through suspension. He's a big loss.

Good game on between Udinese and Empoli on Freesports. 3-2 before half time. Udinese have come from behind twice already and now lead. De Paul looks a very useful player.

Super game, the free kick for the first goal was excellent

We'll that Inter v Atlanta was a huge disappointment

I was probably to naive to think they'd be goals in this

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,643 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

Surprised it ended goalless. Not a bad result for Atalanta. Seems Roma were the big winners in this round of fixtures as far as the top four goes.

Hope Atalanta get a champions league spot. They're normally great to watch. In the champions league their games would have the potential to be nuts.

Caught up with highlights of Bologna's 3-0 win over Chievo and I'm thinking Chievo must be a contender for the worst Serie A team of all time. Only 1 win all season, 11 points earned, the third worst attack in the top 5 leagues behind Huddersfield and Guingamp, and the fourth worst defence after Hannover, Fulham and Stuttgart. Possible they'll be officially relegated this weekend after the Napoli game.

I looked it up and Pescara in 16/17 went down with 15 points and just 2 wins so we'll see if they can better that.

To clarify for Chievo, They have earned 14 points ( 1 win 11 draw), but lose 3 points for false accounting

That's why im a big fan of VAR

    Gets the decision right!

Parma - Milan has been very dull. The only things of note are Parma being denied a first half pen and the weather looks pretty nice there.

Lovely header by castillejo for Milan

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,611 ✭✭✭✭ERG89

Another 2 dropped points for Milan. Terrible run of results for them in the last month.
Part of me wants them to be in the CL but this team is nowhere near good enough to do much in it; the midfield except Paqueta has very little quality; the same with players out wide.

Bad result for Lazio at home, 2-1 defeat vs Chievo; not helped when Milinkovic-Savic saw red for a kick in the hole

Can't believe they lost to Chievo. :D

Just spotted they were at home as well. Even worse!

I am starting to dream! Could La Farfalla Granata be in CL next year?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 55,831 ✭✭✭✭Headshot

What a huge game on Monday

I would absolutely love to see Atlanta getting CL

Didn't realise Juve clinched the title. It's been coming for a while now. Pleased for Ronaldo.

Thought Chiesa looked good in that game for Fiorentina. Is he going to be on the move in the summer I wonder?

Elsewhere Sampdoria goalkeeper Audero with one of the worst goalkeeping performances you'll see this season in their loss to Bologna. Check out the first and third goals:

I'm sure I remember him being linked to Arsenal at one stage.

Merih Demiral looks a good young defender for Sassuolo. Good with his feet and he made a stunning goalline clearance in their draw with Udinese. I looked him up and they've an obligation to buy him from Turkish club Alanyaspor at the end of the season. Has 3 caps for Turkey already at 21. Will be keeping an eye on him in future.
