I really like the idea of Cersai having a dwarf baby, that would be the ultimate karma and Euron killing it after you saw how happy she was when he said he’d put a baby in her belly.

I don’t know how I feel about Arya and Gendry ruling the seven kingdoms. I see how it could work, Sana would get Winterfell and Jon will either die or just f**k off on one of the dragons and be free since he never wanted to rule.

With all the set up they’re doing with Sansa and Dany, then Arya telling Jon not to forget his family, I think Jon will have to chose between them and Dany. He will of course chose his family. I’m guessing one of the dragons dies in the big battle and the one still alive could be Rhaegal, Dany commanding him to torch the Starks but after riding with Jon he won’t listen to her anymore and so she’ll have lost everything, her three dragons and claim to the seven kingdoms gone. She’ll probably go mad like her father and somebody will have to kill her.

I can’t wait for next week though, excited to see the standoff between Bran and the Night King.

Is it just me or I it really really stupid to hide people in the crypts ?
Surely the dead will be raised by the knight King ?

Also why did none of the lads tell Jon about that the Knight King has a dragon ?

I think they did, last week.

Oh big time, it’s so obvious what’s going to happen with that. Wasn’t there a clip of Arya running away from something in the trailer?

I’m fairly sure somebody said it that the Night King has one of Danys dragons, I think it was Bran in the first episode?

Yeah I just checked it there, When Jon is introducing Dany to Sansa in Winterfell, Bran says “we don’t have time for all this, the night king has your dragon”

Arya won't be in the crypts though, she'll be in battle.

I’m just waiting for Arya to unleash her skills.
Nobody really has a clue what she is capable of.
She showed Brienne in that spar and gender with the 3 daggers.
But she hasn’t shown anything much really.
I think they will be like WTF when does.

She’s seen running through the crypts in the trailer for next weeks episode though. I reckon she’s going to fight against the undead in the crypts with no lights as she’ll be able to fight in the dark after her time being blind. That would be savage

I didn't think crypts either time I saw it. Even this clip mentions running through the upper levels of the castle. Could be either, but I don't take it as any assurance that you can assume it's the crypts from any of the trailers.

Oh yeah I see that now, it was quite fast in the trailer so just assumed it was the crypts by the lighting. Great video BTW!

For those that didn't like the past 2 episodes, I think this guy knows a thing or two about storytelling:

Lots of theories flying around at the moment. The fact that we didn't see the NK (or his Dragon) at the end of the episode, but instead saw the White Walkers only, has people speculating that the NK is heading south towards Kings Landing. Winterfell is prepared for an attack, but KL is not, especially not an attack from White Walkers.

Dragonstone is a wildcard in the south given its dragonglass, but IIRC Danaerys has abandoned it for the time being?

The undead question is open. Lots of people saying that you have to be touched by a white walker to become a wight. We know that the NK had to have the dragon extracted from the lake in order to revive it. He touched it, but that could have been for dramatic effect. In other scenes we saw dead people revived without having to be touched by a White Walker (though they were killed by a wight).
When Bran reaches the Children of the forest they're attacked by wights who come up out of the ground, with seemingly no white walker present. Though they could have been left there as "security" by the NK.

Most probably, it's a case that you have to be touched by a wight or a white walker to become a wight yourself. So the crypts should be safe. In terms of "it's a bit ridiculous to put anyone in the crypts", the idea is that they are the most defensible position in the castle. There's only one way in and they're buried underground. So it's either take the risk that the dead will be revived, or leave the most vulnerable exposed to attack.

We saw thousands of people become wights at Hardhome simply by NK raising his hands and raising the dead.

The Night King heading south sounds preposterous to be honest .
Word would have spread among the kingdoms that he had been seen as well as the army of the dead and the white walkers which move at a pedestrian pace .
They stick out like a sore thumb ,it would take them months to get there .
They'd be easily spotted ,Bran would easily be able to see them .

It looks like the Night King is going to be defeated next week but at a heavy cost .
That leaves 3 episodes to wrap things up with Cersei and other internal power divides.

I assume if the night king is heading south he’ll just go by himself with his dragon. He’ll be there before word can arrive and he’ll torch the entire population and raise them as wights.

Of all possible outcomes I think this one is unlikely.

The NK is in it til the end, and maybe after......

I think the dead win next week but some of the major characters escape to somewhere like the Eerie where the dead follow.
Dany will die in childbirth is my prediction. It’s been said by many in the cast without saying anything that people will be disappointed by the overall ending.

It's not even hinted at her being pregnant yet! If that's even ever going to be factored in to the show I don't think they will be skipping forward a few months to kill her off. It's all or nothing now.

    Just to clarify this.

I am not aware of anyone, cast or otherwise, saying that people will be disappointed.

What has been said, is that the ending will be bittersweet. GRRM himself has repeatedly said that he took his inspiration from LOTR (the books, not the movies) so the ending is likely to be that the world is irrevocably changed, and not for the better. However, the showrunners have stated that all of the major storylines are tied up.

People might be disappointed with that (I mean, there are people posting on this site disappointed with every bloody episode!), but there is a difference between being disappointed with the ending, and disappointed for the characters - the best analogy I can make here is that Lost had a terrible ending that did not in any way respect all of the character development and story telling that had gone before it - it was a disappointment, and LOTR had a sad ending but I wasnt disappointed because it did tie up the story but I was definitely sad that the characters were now facing a dark world.

If anyone is expecting a "happy ending" from GoT they will definitely be sorely disappointed I think - but youd want to be off your head to think that this story is going to end with Sansa eating lemon pies while her handsome husband practices his archery in the gardens!

Well he should be in it till the end as he is the ultimate villain .
However it seems the writers view Cersei now as the ultimate villain and the Iron Throne is the final issue .

I hope that after 8 series , the Night King isn't just offed in the next episode, this is the ultimate enemy that we've been building to.

Didn't they film multiple endings so nobody knows which one will be used or am I just imaging that ?

Im sure the cast know - multi ending filming is more to throw off people guessing based on filming locations, extras costumes etc...

Ah jebus, I want a happy ending! I won't be able for the trauma, I'm still upset over Viserion's demise :(

I sincerely doubt he just gets offed next episode.

What might be nice would be him flying off to Kings Landing and turning Cersei into the Ice Queen to rule the endless night with him. Before they both get offed by Azor Ahai.

It would be nice yes ,a fitting ending for Cersei .
She has long outlived her welcome.

Like I said in the next sentence ;)
Though all of those people were killed by wights. So we're none the wiser if the NK can resurrect just any corpse.

Sounds unlikely to me tbh. As others say, this has been building for 8 seasons. The very first scene of season 1 (the very first chapter of the first book) is about the coming undead threat.

A single battle, no matter how epic, seems like an unlikely end to it. I expect significant casualties on all sides, a few white walkers will go down which will severely damage the undead army, but the survivors of Winterfell will all run south.

Or they will change their tack and while Winterfell is expecting to be attacked, the undead army will instead sit and wait (for the NK). And we'll have to wait another episode for the epic battle :D

Yeah, they're not huge into the "you have a curse...no wait, you don't". It was established in S1 that she couldn't bear children. Which was allegedly in trade for saving the life of Dhrogo, but being a product of generations of inbreeding wouldn't help either.

How many white walkers is it alluded there are?

Well Craster said he had 99 sons so at least 99 plus NK I guess.

But there may have been other wildings like Craster sacrificing their children?

What I want to know is why the NK bothers turning babies into White Walkers. They obviously continue to grow and age - otherwise all of Crasters babies would still be babies.

So what about their culture? Is there a WW school where they learn how to fight with frozen swords?

I dont think we really know what the NK is about and Im not sure Brans notion that he just wants an endless night is all there is too it.

Its too stylistic having all these WWs on their horses looking like frozen Targaryens.

Saves having to feed them probably.
