He's playing them all like a fiddle and they're letting him.

What "multiple investigations" is he referring to in his statement? Mazars......what else?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,355 ✭✭✭✭super_furry

It's like something from the Godfather. Delaney leaning over and whispering instructions as the joint committee scramble about looking for their arse.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,473 ✭✭✭Adamcp898

So Delaney said in his statement that he won't answer any questions that would fall under his "previous" role of CEO, and so any time he's asked one, even if it's not directly linked to the €100k, Conway hops in to his defence while JD gets to sit in silence (apart from whisper the odd dictated response to Conway).

And he's allowed to this by the chairperson. Do I have this correct? I'm only tuning in and out to it.

    Absolute farce.

Fair play to Robbie Troy. Landing a couple of blows. Wish he'd been given more than 10 minutes. Not that it matters a feic.

If we hear some loud laughter we'll know who it is.

It sounds like a real tour de force from Delaney.

I said it here twice, as if a bunch of TDs would lay a finger on him. It's a farce of a process and inquiry after inquiry only highlights how right we were to refuse to give them further powers in the referendum 5 or 6 years ago.

The end for Delaney is night, but it will be matters like the Sport Ireland grant and the media that will knobble him, not a bunch of estate agents with thick politicians necks.

He really is a cretin, the arrogance of him not to answer any questions of his previous role.

Encapsulates the lack of accountability that's rife in this country.

Is there no grounds for a criminal investigation into that undisclosed loan? It’d be fraud for you or me surely?

... and the reason he was given a new role, so he could leech out of answering questions.

Why do we accept cute hoors so much in Ireland?

I’m no expert so I’ll stick to asking questions rather than speaking in facts, but surely breaching reporting requirements comes under that category?

Swinging wildly and failing to land with anything. One good question in there about advertising Delaney's role, but they'll sidestep it because she threw so much fluff at them.

Cos it's rife at the top in Irish society, I have said it for years, we are a nation that breeds greedy corrupt bastards, its a generational thing, people give out about the ''Millennials'' but the previous generations have done nothing but worm their way onto the gravy train using every dodgy trick in the book. Think it comes down to the fact previous generations had nothing for years.

    Anyway back on point.......he's a cretin :)

    I've already stopping watching.

The sight of RC makes me angry, she doesn't even have to speak, so I couldn't bear her.

Ridiculous point of view to take. Shes way better than half that room at this type of work.

    Way better.
