Pat gets in a dig about hedges and trees sometimes being hazardous to his beloved motorists - you couldn't make him up.

to be fair to Pat he held yer wan to account on whether or not she could answer his KG of carbon per head question (she absolutely could NOT for the record), and also in the context of the Hedges he was saying there are miles upon miles of hedges in Ireland, why aren't farmers getting credit for them

Feck GDPR. It's just plain wrong and the sort of thing anti farming activists do.

The only thing I can think of is that BarryD2 was being ironic and we didn't pick up on it

Hadn't finished the comment btw. And yes I reckon that kind of thing is not allowed either imo.

It has been recently brought up in the European parliament. I dont always agree with Ming but he is correct with regard to this.
Speaking in the European Parliament in Strasbourg at the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the independent Roscommon MEP, Luke Ming Flanagan, raised the issue of Ireland’s hedgerows, which cover up to 6.4% of the land in Ireland, yet do not get factored into the percentage of tree cover in the Forestry Strategy.

In Ireland we often get hit with the figure of 11% tree cover or forest cover but our traditional hedgerows contain some of the most diverse and sustainable trees planted in Ireland.

Flanagan also questioned the EU Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, Phil Hogan, on the issue of carbon sequestration; the process by which carbon dioxide (CO2) is removed from the atmosphere and held in solid or liquid form.

This is what you are up against!

    (gozunda sneaking in unseen apparently)

Vegans are ideological and that won't change until they think everyone else has changed - i.e it won't change.

I’ve saod before, there are two types of vegan and vegetarians, firstly the normal type because they keep it to themselves and let others live their lives how they see fit. We don’t know many of these because we don’t need to, they do what they do and don’t shout about it from the rooftops. That’s normal civilised behaviour.

Then there are the fascist vegan and vegetarians. They openly promote their intolerance of anyone who is not like them. They have no acceptance for other cultures or other personal wishes.
They will seek out others not like them, abuse and threaten them and their families. They will spread propaganda and untruths about traditional farming.

So what exactly is Willie Walsh’s plan to reduce airplane emissions by 50%??

Is he going to cut the number of flights by 50%??

Maybe you should read the article I posted about it. It contains pertinent information.

Comes Back to the old chestnut, this isn’t about the environment, it’s extreme veganism intolerance of a different way of life. Pure fascism.

The vegans are out to get you. Maybe they are under the bed?

Just because someone points out the obvious does not make it a conspiracy theory btw. Or are others not allowed to highlight such intolerance? Funny that....
