I'd go with that - Fab, Hendo and Lallana in the middle and the rest as usual.

Would love Gomez and Ox on the bench but I won't be too greedy.

I have half a nagging feeling that Origi will start. Based on absolutely nothing.

Id go with the same team you have,

I think Fabinho is nailed on as the holder tonight. Then it's between Henderson or Gini for the middle spot and then Lallana or Milner for the attacking slot tonight. Keita more than likely won't start and Shaqiri won't see game time either.

The Milner / Lallana spot I do think actually will be more attacking tonight too, and not reserved like the Spurs game - think more like Watford at home where Milner was really high

Gonna Say Fabinho / Gini / Lallana myself.

I suspect Milner wont play, as he will be LB on Tuesday.

I suspect Fab Lallana and either Henderson or Gini in MF.

Usual back 5 and front three.

    .

That's why I left Milner out.

We've Porto, Chelsea, Porto coming up over the next couple of weeks, so I think we might see a small shuffle tonight up front/attacking mid, and Henderson held back for those games.

I'd imagine at least one of Origi, Lallana, Shaqiri or Keita will start. I think they're all fit again.
Southampton's attack is one of the poorest in the league, but their defence is in and around most of the other mid table sides and a lot better than the worst defences in the league, so I really would like to see a bit of initiative shown in our selection.

I'd imagine Gomez won't start but he might get some game time later on if we're either in a comfortable position, or looking to bring on an extra defender to see the game out.

Unless we lose. Then it's just two extra days of misery. :(

    .

Their hate is a good thing - it means we're back.

Anyone recall the Liverpool relegation party Facebook pages and the heartfelt comments of not wanting us to end like Leeds and that it won't be the same without us?

Yeah, I'll take the fume and hate and outrage all day every day.

So anyone guess the team tonight?

I'm thinking it'll be the usual back 5. Then Fabby and Lalana in the middle (not sure who the third will be but most likely Henderson). And then the usual three up front.

What I'd like to see is maybe Fabby and Gini deep with Mane, Bobby, original in front and the Mo up top.

I think Lovren, Lallana and Fabinho come in for Matip, Henderson and Milner

Or the upset it caused other fans when Roy was sacked, and how Liverpool are unfair to do it and should keep him

Expecting Southampton to take this game as a 'free hit' and really have a go tonight - which will suit us. Could do with an early goal to make a statement. I'm not able for another last minute winner!

3pts only. Don't care how we get it.

Yes but the original point was about seeing so many balls of the same colour dropping in a row. The way I was caught was something like 9 or 10 so I then start increasing by bet each spin, thinking that the opposite colour was bound to fall and after nearly 20 spins I was cleared out.

Think I'll just stay well clear of any roulette tables.

I'd like to see Keita, Fabinho, and Wijnaldum start tonight, but I doubt that will be it.

I'd say it'll be Milner, Lallana, Fabinho, with the other 8 as expected. If Klopp really wants to boil Southampton piss he'll play Lovren with van Dijk. I'm not sure there would be enough boos on the south coast to go around.

Forgot about the Milner having to play on Tuesday night actually.

Southampton aren't safe just yet but that win for them last week was very big, and they have some more winnable games coming up. I hope they put all their eggs into beating Huddersfield on the last day and then trying beat one of Watford, Newcastle or Bournmeouth in between them games to try and get to that 40 point mark.

Would hate to see too much of a shuffle, play the best team! Porto is a lesser game, can play the tea lady in that game!
We need 3pts, don't need to change it too much, Milner out, Fab in, GAME ON!

Lallana, hendo( or wij )and fab. Best foot forward

I know it sounds stupid when you consider where liverpool are at this season but is anyone else worried about Klopps apparent lack of adaptability in games? The spurs game was a good example, Poc obviously copped onto what was happening and changed it and suddenly spurs started bossing the game. Klopp never seems to proactively change the way the team are playing - kind of like if plan A doesnt work just keep doing plan A kind of thing.

I dont mean to be over critical and i love Klopp but its something that bugs me (i'm sure he'll be devastated).

    Am i over thinking this?

Anyone able to recommend a bar in Cork city that will be showing tonight's game? Didn't realise that there was a Munster match on and a few places seem to be showing that instead.

Given both teams standing I'd take Klopps Plan A.

I said during that game, and he did say something about tactical switching afterwards - basically that he should have reacted earlier to Poch's own tweak

The Thomand bar will definitely have the Munster match on the main screens but they should have the 'pool game on too. Was there recently for Ireland v. France and they had the United Arsenal game on at the same time.

I think Wini needs a rest he played 90 minutes in both Holland games during the break,
He has been looking tired for a couple of weeks in my opinion , Henderson and Fabhino have had a good rests this season ,

I always worry Klopp leaves subs too late tbh.

Yeah, obviously we can point to where we are etc but you can't help feel (sometimes) that it would make our lives a little easier.

Keita hasn't done anything to justify starting a PL game - I'm as disappointed by that as anyone and am hopeful he can kick on next season.
Wijnaldum looked tired in the Spurs match I thought,

Wouldn't mind seeing Fab, Hendo and Lallana start in midfield tonight.

    Hurrah for Friday night football!

Keep Keita away from the starting 11, he has done nothing to justify inclusion for such important games. Gini, Fab, Milner, Lallana and Hendo all deserve starting places over him based on performances this season.

I'm actually fairly confident about the next few games, the players have had lot of rests over the last few months, a game every few days might help us build up momentum for the final eleven games of the season, yes I said eleven!

    - Southampton, in a nice run of form but they seem to be converting a lot of their shots on target lately, a higher percentage than I would expect from a team mid table and below. They also play a certain way and aren't going to try and defend for 90 minutes. We'll get plenty of chances today.

    - Porto, I'll be really disappointed if we can't get through over the two legs, we're the better team and they may have improved from last year and won't be as naive but Liverpool have improved a lot more. Might be more cagey with them sitting back at Anfield but we'll win.

    - Chelsea, this isn't Jose's Chelsea and Sarri isn't going to send them out to be spoilers with 10 men behind the ball, he's going to play the way they always play and they are beatable and have lost six away from home. We play at home Tuesday and they're away Thursday night so plenty of prep time for Klopp and the players before Sunday.

    Three wins coming up lads!
