im not worried, hes not a top class keeper, too many mistakes simple as.

and whoever said him and ederson are the 2 best keepers in the league is on some substance that i definately want to try!!

anyway ive clearly rocked the boat here so ill leave ye to it

when he makes a mistake that costs ye the league ill be back saying i told ye so

the people saying he doesnt make mistakes are the same people who said pepe reina was good under a high ball id say

You have rocked nothing, you are just back again trying to find fault in something that is not there. The league is in Cities hands so the only keeper that can cost a team the league is Ederson

Anyone in here ****ting on Allison needs to go get their brain fixed.

The guy is a massive difference to us this year, last year we had a goalie with no ****ing hands FFS.

Personally I think Allison is signing of the season in the Prem

If anyone disagrees who would you have ahead of him ?

Just look at premier league fantasy game Allison is the best keeper on that :pac:

He’s already winning the Fictional Minutes Played award, so he could do the double yet.

I'm as baffled by all the Alisson talk as much as I am by everyone misspelling his name.

But seriously, he's one of the positions we don't have to worry about. It's clear as day he's one of the top keepers around.

Was it Aguero who he took the ball off his toes? Made him go wide and timed his move to go for the ball perfectly?

Yep, himself and Mignolet in the exact same situation, same pass, same run, same player, different outcome:

Would I be right to say if United lose tonight it would mean we finish ahead of them with 6 games to spare,
    Same for Spurs and Chelsea

    That's good going ,

Nice to see United fans are worried about our keeper making mistakes :pac: you would think we had a decent keeper for a change

    Who's the United fan?

Edit: AKelly. I thought he was a Liverpool fan :pac:

Just seen this about Alisson on F365 (here.)
Liverpool moved the goalposts in the summer and Alisson has ably tended to them ever since. Money might not be able to buy happiness, but it can purchase the world’s most expensive goalkeeper to go alongside its centre-half equivalent.

Alisson soon dropped that title but has held onto most other things that have crossed his path this season. The Brazilian does have the uncanny ability to exude calm while engendering panic at certain moments, such is his limitless and often dangerous composure on the ball. Yet he has been the league’s best keeper by most worthwhile metrics. He has conceded the fewest goals, has the highest save percentage, and is one of only two shot-stoppers to save every penalty they have faced.

He has also kept the most clean sheets. With six games remaining Alisson has 17 shut-outs to his name. David de Gea joined Manchester United in 2011 and has only recorded more in a single season once; David James ranks second overall for clean sheets in Premier League history, yet never kept more than 17 in one campaign.

As easy as it is to attribute Liverpool’s defensive improvement entirely to Virgil van Dijk, credit must be apportioned. Jurgen Klopp oversaw one of the biggest upgrades in Premier League history and is still reaping the benefits.

    That's good going ,

If they lose tonight, they can finish on 79 so would be down to GD. We have a GD of 53 while they have 19.

However, we should start confirming teams who can't catch us anymore over the next few games.

Assuming Utd and Chelsea win their midweek games and we win on Friday, Chelsea can no longer catch us.

Allison got away with a couple of howlers again the weekend, confidence still high with him around here?

i said a month or so that he will cost liverpool games, and at this stage , when he does it will end up costing the league.

Tbf all keepers will cost games it's just a question of how many

I think he played in goal for Ireland too, we should really listen to what he has to say about goalkeeping

VVD. I know he was signed last season, but he’s that good he should still win it

Good shout but isn't he just a loan

Still a signing a such. New to the league, first season and all that.
Himself and Allison have to be top two. Trying to think of others but no-one jumping out.
Gomes has done well at Everton, Brooks at Bournemouth but slim pickings really.

Edit : actually Maddison at Leciester, totally forgot about him. And Torriera i suppose.

How could i forget Fabinho ?!!!! he's that good he doesnt seem like a new signing.

    https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/11672671/premier-league-signings-of-the-season-football-writers-pick-their-top-summer-buys

Just for context, here's a list that Sky put together at the end of March. Includes Rondon, Felipe Anderson and Guendouzi, who I wouldn't have even considered tbh.

Maddison has been good, Brooks has been better and Foster has been excellent for Watford. For all the difference that Alisson made to us, Foster was essentially Watfords only first team signing and helped keep them in the running for 7th thus far. Not bad for a team who wouldn't have been a million miles off the relegation battle in many peoples eyes.

But, yeah, the argument for Alisson is clear too tbf.

Regarding Klopp hes abit of a genius hes the best motivator and getting his players to love him with the vacancy at Madrid this summer, say if Liverpool slip up and dont win the league do people fear he will go there.
We all know if Madrid want someone theyl get him.Iv family who are Pool supporters and there worried if they dont get over the line in the prem and dont win champs lge(which theyv got another dream draw and serious chance of making final), that he may be tempted by the money and project at Madrid. Hel have been there 3-4 years and no trophys? I think he will think hes taken them as far as he can and fearing hel lose Mane/Firminio and the major task of replacing the myth the most overrated CM in the league Henderson who has zero creativity that ball he played second half over the top that went right out of play for goal kick looked like a miss placed back pass from the 80s, Cattermole made him look a good player at Sunderland because he did all the hard graft and Henderson had time on the ball to pick out His Hollywood balls but hes a poor mans Michael Carrick and when hes pressured he just hasnt the footwork or speed of thought with awful decision making and zero bottle(penatly miss for England WC), and hes ur captain :pac:.
Could Klopp leave? Or try for one more year?next year definetly a trophy alot of fans are saying but u had 4 chances this year and have 2 of the hardest trophies left and the team start getting nervous in March when they had a tiny lead. No winners in the team so experience will count.

Not to mention United Spurs Arsenal will be stronger next year looking at Arsenal last night they could even have a chance.

I thought the lack of paragraphs was the biggest problem until I read it.

As long as Klopp continues to win nothing none of the big clubs will want him

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,296 ✭✭✭shamrock55

So spurs now have the biggest single tier stand in the country, time to expand the kop??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,381 ✭✭✭Nerdlingr
