    9 Cooney
    10 Burns
    11 Nelson
    12 McCloskey
    13 Stockdale
    14 Balacoune
    15 Lowry

    Bench
    Shanahan
    Stewart
    McPhillips

Three half backs in the bench, but at least McPhillips covers 15. Nelson has played 13 at age grade level so could potentially go in in an emergency. Maybe we are better going with a 6-2 split than having 2 scrum halves, but then Cooney can cover 10.

It's a bit of a mess. I suppose Moore could in theory come onto the bench, but you can't put him up against Ringrose in a Champions Cup Quarter final in his first ever competitive game for Ulster...although in saying that, they did stick Lowry in out of position in a European game for his first start (he did come off the bench the week before I think).
Good point about Moore but I dread the thought of Nelson starting for us in Europe. Cant believe lyttle isn’t registered

What's the story behind Lyttle not being registered? Registrations for knockouts only ended 2 weeks ago, who were the 3 added to the squad instead of him?

Hume (who got a season ending injury), Marshall (who should be back very soon) and one other, possibly a forward, maybe Tommy O'Hagan

Doubt it, didn't they just play a match yesterday or something?

Sunday night (Monday morning here) was their game, unless they flew back the following morning and would've been home by Monday afternoon.

There is a picture of Moore (pretty sure it's him) training with the senior squad so it looks like Lock Lamora is right and he has been flown home early.

Most east bound transatlantic flights leave in the evening to overnight and land at morning time. So realistically they would have left Monday evening and arrived home this morning

Yea it’s definitely him. Must’ve flown back early as cover.

I know I've said it before, but if we are without Moore and without Henderson we can honestly forget about this game.

It will be very frustrating if we have to go into this match with vital players missing given how much of an effort it will be to win even with a first choice 23.

    reports are henderson will play

If registering three one of the three has to be a front row so would O Hagen be likeliest?

Can he play 13? This Saturday?

Actually if he plays 13 for Leinster that would even things up a bit.

Starts "done deal" ends "if he moves"

Be welcomed with open arms! Be some serious competion for O'Sullivan, different type of players!

One of my favourite Jack McGrath moments. The night the lights went out against Glasgow - this was his attempt at kicking the ball out at full time - a cross field kick for Glasgow to chase!!

Throw in McGrath, Faddes and we have a good wee core for next season!

Complete dream but one more backrow and we'd be set with Academy starting to churn out.

Ulster and Munster being rewarded for their failure to develop players will never not grate tbh.

    ....
They develop plenty, far more than most european pro sides but will never to level Leinster do

That's a bit unfair tbh...Same comment could have been levelled at Leinster when we had Hayes, Flannery, Horan, DOC, POC, Wallace, ROG and Stringer.
I thought the whole idea of Nucifora was to get players playing in Ireland thus boosting the national team. Leinster are producing an amount of players that must be the envy of every club in Europe. Better to keep these lads in Ireland than see them lining out for Sarries or Glasgow.
Ulster's academy seems to be starting to make ground...I don't know much of Munster's but I'm sure they aren't standing still either.

I'd rather have an international player, getting solid game time and putting himself in a situation to develop himself further against first choice opposition, while remaining within the Irish setup, than have him on the bench and not being too happy with how many minutes he's getting against the opponents sub front row.

A player like McGrath needs to be competing up against the best THs other teams have to offer. He's 29, closing on 30, this is his prime time and I'm sure he's probably fed up being on the bench. Would rather see him at Ulster and trying to claw back the starting spot for the Ireland team, instead of going across the sea like Moore did.

Thought I read that McGrath approached Ulster? The IRFU are hardly forcing him to move.

I did indeed cry when Leinster won the double last season. I cried for my northern brethren who hadn't tasted success in 13 years.

That’s why we are donating them half their squad.

Talking about Ulster being rewarded for not developing players misses half the point. What about the player? Is McGrath supposed to stay on the Leinster bench? Would we prefer to see him in a Toulon or Saracens jersey instead of an Ulster one?
