    https://www.finder.com.au/ibms-world-wire-launch-will-likely-go-down-as-a-major-event-in-payments-history

Two of my favorite parts from this article

The world has already seen this in action with the SWIFT network. It came to life in 1973 with 239 banks across 15 countries, and ended up swallowing the outdated incumbent Telex system and eating competition as it expanded. Now it's the de facto standard for international payments all over the world. There are hundreds of banks and money transfer services vying for your business, but almost all of them actually move money through the SWIFT network.

    And

However, the most important part might be the introduction of central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) to the Stellar network. With actual fiat digital currency finding a home on the Stellar network, and its usage being encouraged on national levels by central banks, you get a major push towards real-world use.

This will probably be happening in the near future, and IBM has explicitly said on multiple occasions that central bank digital currencies will be coming to Stellar.

One of the first might be coming from the Bahamas, where the Bahamian central bank is working on a blockchain-based CBDC, dubbed the Sand Dollar, with the intention of encouraging residents to use it instead of cash. The Sand Dollar is being largely developed by IBM.

Is this the first time you have signed into the portal since receiving them?

Had a similar issue when I first signed into the account. Do you have your keys? And secure password saved?

    First time on converting them

Have the keys saved and there’s no transaction history.

    Baffled but they’re gone

Google the issue and I'm sure you'll find an explanation/fix.

Did that but nothing turned up (my search phrases may not have been good enough but I did look for several terms)

I have Lobstr and when I open up the app, there's a message saying 'Temporary Stellar Network Issues' and that sending and receiving funds may be unreliable until congestion on the network reduces.

I signed up for this wallet from Blockchain.com yesterday and after verification I got 555 Lumens XLM in my wallet approx $50. Verification took less than an hour and requires you to provide a photo of yourself and a copy of your Passport or Driving License. The amount of Lumens XML you receive can vary and I think you have to be over 18.

    https://www.blockchain.com/getcrypto

So if you are happy to provide the required verification you'll get free Lumens XLM which can then be withdrawn in the Blockchain Wallet to your Paypal account if you don't want to keep them.

Make that 57.50 if you signed up yesterday.

    Pump it.

I registered for the XLM airdrop many months ago but never heard anything back or received any XLM. Supposedly they were supposed to email when it was my chance to claim my XLM and then they give you time to verify your identity but..crickets.

    Orange pilled.

    Non-referral link:

I just done this too fairly handy. Just sign up and give KYC info and you get the Lumens. Thanks OP.

Has anyone done the same through Coinbase Earn to get the $50 of Lumens? You get $10 for answering 5 simple questions but the other $40 are based on getting existing or new coinbase users to complete at least one lesson.

If anyone is interested this is my link to sign upand earn https://coinbase.com/earn/xlm/invite/60zqbf75

This is the clean link if you don't want to use mine.

Going to have a go at earning inflation on my stellar this weekend if I get a quiet few hours. Will earn 1% a year in lumens. Better than sitting in an exchange.

The Lumenauts Inflation pool is the best one to go for. They share 100% of the Lumens with pool members. Some other pools hold onto a percentage.

Hi all please message me if you would like a link to free stellar lumens via coinbase - takes about 5 minutes to get 10$ of crypto

I cannot share the link as I am a first time poster apparently..

Starting to feel the love for the lumens now, that interest rate beats the banks.

That's a pretty bad ROI as crypto goes, and even so it's completely negated by the yearly rises/falls

    I hold XLM myself, but I wouldn't lift a finger for 1%

1% on 25k of stellar would be 250 euro at current price, That's in lumens if the price stayed at 11c. That's just to hodl. Epic roi.

It's passive income with no restrictions. You don't need to lock it up, your XLM are fully under your control in your private wallet not on an exchange and you can sell whenever you want. It's a no brainier really.

Yeah same thing. Exactly the same. You should invent your own coin and go to Tesco to buy the shopping with it. Bring a few billion of it with you. It's only numbers on a computer sure

Better yet type up some of your new currency and see if you can get people to pay you real money for it.
Hardly work though or would it?

You haven't found anyone to buy it yet. You need to start marketing.

Make a shīt load of them. Get people to buy them but you need to hold the vast majority of the supply though. Let the buyers take the risk and if it all works out the shīt ton of tokens that you hold will be worth a fortune. Dump in small amounts then repeat. Easy peasy.

Don't worry I'm off to bed. Best of luck.
