Refreshing seeing the 2 of them just get on with it as well. Pick a club and hit it.
Yeah. Some of them would bore you to death, but those two were nice and quick, no messing.

As he has admitted himself, he needs to start turning opportunities into wins. Rory has been in the last group 10 times without converting since the last time he won from the final pairing at the K Club in 2016.

Nice to see DJ setting down a marker early on re Reed being so f**king slow. DJ was on the second tee taking practice swings before reed had putted out on 1

Better ways than that of doing it though, just say it to him.

Reed really was off man out in the group.

As radar said he was “like an uninvited drunk guest at a wedding.” Just as well it wasn’t him stuck behind the tree on 6 or they’d still be out there probably!

    Correct, that’s just disrespectful.

Johnson also finished out on 2 while Reed was waiting on the fairway having gone back to the tee.

Rory bottled it on the back 9, imagine not making birdies on 10 & 13

at least he didn't cry like a baby this time.

Ready golf is in now though isn't it ?

I don't agree with moving to the next tee, but surely its okay to finish out the current hole and then just wait it out

Vijay is still quality from tee to green

Sadly he still can't buy a putt

Edit: He then goes and hits it way left into the hazard. He really did have a great chance today, shame

Hoping Mitchell doesn’t birdie 18 and Rickie does, make for a good playoff

Nah. More power to him. He won it.

Playoff would have been good in a selfish kind of way but prefer to see him win than the other two. Fully deserved too, held his nerve well to the end.

100% just would have loved to have seen a play off

I'm happy for him too even though I backed Ricki on Saturday at 20/1.

Jason day withdraws after 7 holes and being +3 or +4

Probably an injury or something. Nowt will be said about it I'm sure

    Back injury.

Always annoys me seeing someone withdraw so early and not give the chance to an alternate

    Oh Phil..

    Just adds to his legend.

So confident was he in his own brilliance that he naturally assumed the ball had gone so far away that he couldn't see it, rather than it landing a foot away from him.

Radar correct there.. he should have just taken an unplayable. Interesting advantage to the new rules.. because he hit the shot out of bounds, he had to replay the shot. Last year, he would have to drop in the same position but under the new rules, your relief area is always 1 club length... which got him out away from the fence. He didn't take an unplayable as Sky suggested.

Wow, that was some howler from Rory. 90 yards out, middle of the fairway, into the water. Shocking.

Phil had some round, right in it with a morning tee time tomorrow, Bubba too. Molinari nice start too with a new set of clubs I believe, could he do like Rose a couple of weeks back?
