It's pretty much written already, and there are plenty of stories within it. Used to smuggle the camera body typically round my back. The long lens fitted neatly into a thermos flask (with it's inner section removed). Was at the front for Alice Cooper at Manchester Apollo one evening, snapping away with b&w film. He gave me a few funny looks when I was back the following night, this time with colour negatives. Was nearly through the first film when the crowd parted to my left. There was a burly security guard beckoning me with his finger, and of course I had to oblige. He asked for the film and then exposed it there and then... Still, I had my first evening's memories!
Well, I still think you're doing yourself an injustice.80- 95% of people going to concerts in the 80's didn't bring a camera, and those that did, didn't have an SLR with a zoom lens- and even then, most didn't attend live-aid.
It's up to you, but I think you're too close to it all- take a step back for a minute. I know that Live-Aid was global- I watched it on TV as it happened- but what's out there, in terms of that gig, and gigs in the 80's like you've shown us all, from fans perspectives with an SLR and some quality B&W production? not much I'd say.
Just say'in- I'd buy your book.

That photo of Concorde was taken just before Young (who's a bit older then ma) was joined by Alf (who was a bit younger!, but probably looks as young now as she did back then!):
Never linked her with Yazoo and the hit "Only You" until a few years after her solo hits as Alison Moyet- doh! I knew I knew her from "somewhere" at the time, but back in the day, a lot of 80's bands and singers just transformed from one band to another very quickly and there was no internet there to find out.
She was a "backing track" to Eastenders in the early years of that soap- they always used to play the latest and greatest UK hits on that show when it started in 85 or 6 as background music in Den and Angie's pub. So great memories of her- "All Cried Out" appeared regularly at the time.0 -

Speaking of the Concorde.
Boy George believe it or not, would have been arguably one of the biggest stars at the time that appeared in the Live Aid Video almost missed it, he was New York, Geldof rang him, fooked him out of it and told him get his arsé onto a Concorde which he did. They had never actually met before then.
By the time he got there everyone had gone home, AFAIK he is only in solo shots in the video.
Any "source" to that? Not questioning you, just curious. Certainly BG is only seen alone in the video (in terns of the rest of the stars on the track) but the perspective for Young, Le-Bon Bono etc when they're singing their solo parts are all similar. Only curious- if true story, happy to believe it as you've posted. 0 -

That and Bob Dylan's contribution were two great low-points of the concert. In fact, most contributions by the USA contingent paled compared to the UK concert.0 -

To be honest with you, I can't remember where I saw it. It was most probably on BBC4 who have some cracking documentaries, it could have even been a Doc about Concorde itself.
But Rolling Stones below seems to confirm the jist of my memory.

Boy George: Culture Club had just done a show at Madison Square Garden, and I was in bed at the Plaza hotel. I got a call at three o’clock in the morning from Bob Geldof, whom I’d never met.
Ure: We had to have him. So Bob woke him up in New York. George said, “Who’s there?” Bob said, “Every ****er but you. Get your ass on Concorde.” And he did – at his own expense, I might add.
George: When I arrived, around eight o’clock in the evening, there was no time to practice or maybe have a go at the song to make sure you’re in the right key. It was literally: “You’re on!” I was thinking, “Oh my God, what’s going to come out of my mouth?”0 -

I dont think the led Zepplin bit sounded that bad but they looked out of it well plant and page did
I think Phil Collins got the blame for that performance- in reality it was a number of issues- two drummers for start didn't help along with "under the weather" guitarist and singer
