There is a TV3 series called Jack Taylor on Netflix was going to give it whirl but the ridiculous Oirish accent from the Scottish actor is woeful and a cringey dialogue. It was off within 30 seconds. Can't make good TV in this country. Anyone seen it?

Atrocious stuff. Diddly-eye, Oirish cop show by numbers rubbish.

Netflix has acquired the worldwide distribution rights to the political documentary “Knock Down The House”, which won the Festival Favorite Award at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. The film follows four female progressive candidates including Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, against powerful incumbents in America’s 2018 midterm elections and was funded via Kickstarter in early 2018.

When tragedy struck her family in the midst of the financial crisis, Bronx-born Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez had to work double shifts in a restaurant to save her home from foreclosure. After losing a loved one to a preventable medical condition, Amy Vilela didn’t know what to do with the anger she felt about America’s broken health care system. Cori Bush was drawn into the streets when the police shooting of an unarmed black man brought protests and tanks into her neighborhood. Paula Jean Swearengin was fed up with watching her friends and family suffer and die from the environmental effects of the coal industry. At a moment of historic volatility in American politics, “Knock Down the House” follows these four women as they decide to fight back despite having no political experience, setting themselves on a grassroots journey that will change their lives and their country forever.

That's part of the charm of this show, I don't think that you are not supposed to like her.
The way she talks to people, the arrogance such as her meeting in work, smoking anywhere

    Re; Russian Doll

I tried, I tried again and I even tried one more time but this show isn’t for me. Enjoy to those that it is for.

    Watched the Fyre documentary.

Really well told story of sycophancy and 'yes men' getting their way,no matter the cost.

I felt genuine sympathy for the residents of the island. They were treated appallingly by the 'rich' kids.

Couldn't help but laugh at those entitled little sh1ts getting their just desserts .

Pure and utter karma for all those wannabe Jordan Belfort's.

Ja Rule, the rap 'mogul' ,as he referred to himself over and over. Just delusions of grandeur all round on an epic scale.

And the guy who was gonna "take one for the team" ?? Wtf? Was he even gay?

    Well worth watching. Highly recommended.

Gonna take your word for it about Russian Doll. Watched the first episode and half the second.

The main character is pure marmite, urggh.

I wanted to throw something at the tv.

I'll persevere on the recommendations of a few on here.

Her not being likable is part of it. Over the season she mellows. I nearly stopped after two.

    Ahhhh.

Still though, looking forward to that.

I watched Abducted in plain sight last night. I wouldn't recommend. It's a mad story alright, like crazy in parts but I didn't think it was a well made documentary. It felt like one of those made for a sh!tty tv channel ones. What the hell was wrong with those parents though not protecting their kids. Jesus Christ

I thought he was joking at first when he said that. He was definitely gay.

Gave up on Russian Doll after episode 3. The whole "Groundhog Day with hipsters" thing doesn't work for me.

Think if you'd have watched episode four it would have opened it up much more, but while I really enjoyed it, I can see why people wouldn't. (still think you quit an episode too soon:))

Oh well, give me an easy life and a peaceful death.

Line of Duty is top class,

I was late to the Luther party myself, but would thoroughly recommend that also

Happy Valley is class, also Charlie Murphy (Siobhan from Love Hate) is very good in it. Was talk of a 3rd series but looks unlikely. Would recommend.

Line of Duty also next on my list. Tried Unforgtten but not sure I like the plot re old cold cases. Heard good things about Luther.

Michael Inside - Watched it last night and enjoyed it. A bit grim but highlights how easy it is for peoples lives to spiral out of control once they get caught with drugs. What should be noted is the input from Gateways (I think) which deals with offenders and tries to get them back on track so the scenario's in the film would have been based on real events that occurred. Well worth a watch.
Thought it was fantastic myself, wasn't expecting much from an under the radar film but well worth a look.
