just out of curiousity what would you define as high ground- i mean how many meters above sea level. I am 50 metres above sea level, is that classed as high ground in these scenarios?

I don't think it would tbh, as it really isn't a significant change in altitude (at least in Ireland anyway...the Dutch might see it differently). 50m would make minimal difference in terms of temperature change but the conditions would be a function off the geography around your region. I'd say 150/200m in Ireland or notable hilltops

I might actually head up towards enniskerry tomorrow or the day after if there's still any snow. Anyone in Enniskerry getting snow? Since it is pretty high up. :)

    :) 217 feet asl

Snow is more likely through the afternoon and evening away from northwest Connaught. Be interesting to see how it evolves through the afternoon.

Currently 3.1c here near Dublin Airport.

Sleety fluries in Sligo Town. Nothing sticking thankfully, as gardens, un driven cars, and un trodden roads are still white from yesterday and Tuesday night.

The heavy rain has stopped here near Mallow. Will probably brighten up for a while and we’ll have to see where front pivots and it if disintegrates or not on it’s journey south again.

Interesting with a comparison of how the differing models are forecasting the outcome

Even though I want snow on the farm like a hole in the head,a 1 degree drop in temp here near Arklow would turn the precip
    It's currently light sleety rain
It's fascinating watching areas away from the coast turn and I expect they will later

Just rain in Rathnew/Wicklow. I don't think we'll see any white stuff this close to the coast.

Should be a fun day for some. Reports of snow in Galway all goes well for further up country. Expect an orange warning from Met Eilean by lunchtime for midland and Eastern counties. Will we go red??

No, this was never a red scenario.

Noticeable change in wind direction now along the coast in Dublin, it's a cooler breeze too...

Hopefully! I've to drive home from Dublin to Rathdrum later and the thoughts of some of the Rathnew - Rathdrum stretches covered in snow gives me anxiety :p
