Maybe he wants to win it ?
Alternatively maybe he wants to ensure safety early on and then mix it up in latter stages as championship approaches

Are you saying Mayo can't do this by resting a few players? have to take into account that Roscommon will be without a number of first choice players due to player turn over and injuries.

We haven't won in normal time at home in 3 years (I think)

Mayo beat Roscommon two years ago in MacHale Park.

Clarke is carry a knock is he not that what I was told.
hennelly is a no go area for me he had his chance

There’s a reason Clarke has an all star and hennelly doesn’t

Hennelly is fine as backup. Clarke is nailed on first choice, don't think there can be a debate on that anymore.

15,000 expected in MacHale park on Saturday eveing

"A huge turnout – possibly up to 15,000 – is expected for the joust, under lights, between the arch-rivals at Elvery’s MacHale Park. But the contest has created significant health and safety concerns due to GAA fans parking on the hard shoulder of the N5 national primary route as it approaches Castlebar. Fears have been raised of possible injuries, even death, as fans leave and return to their vehicles under cover of darkness."

    Death!!! Ah come on.

They have cars in Roscommon, I'm sure they get out at night and know that the big thing approaching at speed isn't a sheep with a headlight and will kill you unless you get out of the way! :D

My Dad will want to go at 1pm now!!!!
Roscommon and sheep shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence!

It shouldn't be a problem for tomorrow night anyway going by this quote from the email received from the Season Ticket office this morning.......

If you have purchased your Season Ticket in recent days and do not receive your card prior to this weekend's fixture please present a copy of your Season Ticket confirmation email at the designated Season Ticket turnstiles where your attendance will be recorded manually. This email would have been received at the time of purchase.

Where is best spot for parking coming in from Ballinrobe side . I’ll be going on to Westport after that match ?

I usually come from Galway side and park at n55 business park so not familiar with parking spots the other side of stadium

Behind John Hanly's shop or around the bypass road near Cathal Duffy's

Do they not clamp at John Hanleys now?

I'm the Westport side of town so I'll be in at either Duffys there or in Chestnut Grove or Agilsh estates.

Then again you could still park the Brobe side of town and go to Westport via Derrywash road.

It's always a pain getting out of Chestnut Grove, only one road out of it onto the bypass road if I recall.

Yes Derrywash might be an idea park around the station pointing south.

Talking about parking a mile from the stadium for a league game in January. It's good to have her back lads!

There are parking charges/park and ride at the train station.

Many might have the same idea Father Tod :D but agreed km79 could park the car there and head back south, across through Derrywash.Easiest way to head to Westport.

Another option is to park in the Curragh/Aglish estate. You'll be in the right side of town for heading to the port.Slightly longer walk to MacHale park but great exercise. You'll need to get there early Kenneth Mortimer.:)

It's truly glorious that there's talk of a crowd of up to 15,000 on a likely fairly wintry night with a fairly steep increase in matchday ticket price.Pretty unfair on families and all supporters alike.Seem excessive imo. Finally again seeing some value return to my beloved season ticket.

Yikes with all the rain and inclement conditions the pitch is going to be very heavy tomorrow night.

Can anybody clarify which of the eir sport channels is televising the game?I'm anxious as always to record the game.

Their website says it's on eir sports 1 whilst I saw a contradictory advertisement on one of their channels stating it was live on eir sports 2.

Buncha' bleedin' snowflakes. There was a force 5 monsoon & hailstones the size of golf balls the last time we were in C'bar, bar one.

    :D

I thought you'd have been happy with another all too familiar win against Mayo without complaining about a bit of soft rain in the west of Ireland.

An uncharacteristic defensive setup thankfully prevented yet another tanking in the league.Twas an awful night weather,it took me a week to defrost.

There's been a few pretty awful nights weather wise in recent years when you've played here in the league.

    Winter is coming.

Last year was gorgeous. Giblet freezing cold, but at least it was dry. Glorious blue skies the next day too, for a birra touristy stuff. Did the Westport - Croagh Patrick - Leenaun - Killary drive & my God, t'was like being in a Lord of The Rings movie.

Just an FYI lads regarding Eir Sports.... If you have Eir broadband, you can get it for free via your Sky dish or an android app or other ways (check their website). The game is also on Premier Sports. Judging from other threads on Boards, I wouldn't recommend sharing free or dodgy links to Eir Sports streams as users have been banned and threads have been closed when this has happened on the tech forum. So, probably best to leave that topic alone altogether. Should anyone feel that inclined, Google is your friend. ;)

    Now, roll on 7 p.m.!!! :D

If you know soemone that has eir broadband, they get eirsport free and they might give you their eirpsort log in, it can be used on 2 different devices

Sounds like Andy Moran will be starting instead of one of the debut forwards tonight.
