Anyone else think that Jonathan Wilson had a bigger Sunderland accent than he usually does? Probably been around his kind a bit over Christmas.

Wilson on the new football hipster hype train. It's trendy to be a Sunderland fan again, thanks to their Netflix documentary. Over 46,000 showed up to the Stadium of Light on Sat, more than the crowd at Wembley to see Spurs.

In fairness, he's always been a Sunderland fan. It's come up countless times.

If he's slathering on the accent then there's probably something in it.

Yeah, but he's talking now like he's Michael (the Geordie in the petrol station) from Alan Partridge. "I canna belee m'ears, man."

I honestly thought the same thing myself, "does Jonathan Wilson sound a bit Northern today?"

Could have been my ears were tuned to its frequency, I had been binging on that documentary series over the last few days.

It looked to have auto downloaded for me earlier on Pocketcasts (had play button instead of downward arrow to download and I have SC set to auto), but I had deleted it without actually trying to play it so I'm not sure if it was good or not.

No loss, it was only a live show recording.

Haven't read the agassi book but the other 3 are great, you'd nearly pack in drink after reading Paul McGraths book.
Sea buscuit and the Tyler Hamilton book would be two more I really enjoyed.

Dunno, reading McGraths book and the description of the daytime drinking in Paddy Crerands pub made me want to have a few. All cosy winter days, roaring fire and a Sunday roast, nice buzz from the alcohol loosening his inhibitions, sounded great.

Now I understand that was not the point of the book but that is honestly what I felt reading it.

The GAA is my favourite sport(s) but I can’t stand THAT Anthony Daly audio-bed!

Another pod today based off The Liberty Hall live show(s). Maybe it's just me, but they really seem to be milking the material from those shows. Move on please lads..

Its smart from them really. Keep the workload down over the Christmas and new year (when it may be difficult get guest in anyway in fairness and everyone needs their break) while running a few lucrative live events in December. I'd be annoyed if I had made it to any of the live shows most likely but I didn't so its all new to me.

Yep. 100% correct. Only a few hundred will have heard the material before. So it makes perfect sense

It would be interesting to have an estimate of the total audience they had at the live shows.
    Anyone got any idea?

There are 11000 odd subscribers so it would be interesting to see what percentage made it.

Did I hear them say at one stage that the Liberty Hall holds 400 people?

I was at Dubland there before and I couldn't see it holding 400.

    411 capacity.

Probably be odd if they didn’t broadcast the material given 96% of subscribers didn’t hear it.
