    Tana tries firing the Lazer gun through the glass to see if it passes through without damaging it or causing a scorpion freak attack. Then aims at the Gem if it's successsful

    The shaman mouths something incomprehensible at Redford and gestures.

    Suddenly his body feels heavy beyond belief, his leg bones break and his skull crashes through his torso and out his groin.

    All that remains is a congealed red lump of tissue.

    She dismisses the spell and steps outside...

    The shot bounces off the glass.

    She might manage a shot at the gem, by standing carefully at the right angle near the door.

    Tana realises she's not trained to use the lazer gun and shouldn't be rolling D20s for it :D She takes a closer look at the computers - with her temp +2 Int bonus no less - before moving to destroy them.

    Corsiana runs for the pads, as Gholduzin and Irwin face the Shaman.

    Gholduzin fires, missing twice.

    Irwin attempts to fire, the first shot hitting her shoulder, but on the second shot the gun discharges plasma into his face. A voice whispers into his ear.

    "NOT YET"

    The plasma disappears, the shaman obviously worried, summons a powerful gravimantic charge, but messes up the gestures at the last moment and the spell fails to come together.

    The two then turn their guns on her, piercing her in the heart and stomach. She drops dead.

    They head to the pad and meet the others.

    OOC: Select character, they'll be healed and luck restored

    OOC: Gun is doing some of the aiming, so I give you a d20 don't worry. Downside is they only have so many charges

    The computers are easily broken. The graphs indicate that without the delicate calculations, the patterns being transmitted from Banduin are lost. The small army has been killed.

    The scorpion smashes through the glass.

    Thonrat rushes toward it, his sword swings and catches it on head, denting the casing. Templeton then quickly darts his eyes across the scorpion spotting the main logic unit. He tosses his sword across the room, embedding it in the processor and then quickly darting forward and pulling it out. The scorpion shorts and emergency systems attempt a repair.

    Though she does not no its name yet, Quentanaa feels its presence and beseeches it.

    It answers.

    "FLESH AND BLOOD CHILD" a voice says, the room shifting red as Quentanaa's flesh dries, her skin cracks and she loses muscle mass, stumbling back.

    A artillery volley of white hot missiles emerge from gateways in front of her, some bizarre multicoloured plane with an enormous mountain visible through them.

    Being disabled the scorpion has no way to avoid the blast, as the missiles descend Quentanaa mouths...

    The missiles slam into the scorpion, rupturing its outer shell and melting the circuitry underneath.

    The barrage continues as the remaining missiles rip through the gem and blow out the entire upper end of the monolith housing the gem, blowing open access to the outside air.

    The side of the tower collapses, taking a fusion cannon mounted to the side out with it (OOC: "Solved" that puzzle as well Banjo!).

    Then, through the smoke, Loygar approaches the tower, mounted atop a Jeremy modified to fly. He lands in what remains of the floor Quentanaa has almost annihilated.

    "Well done all of you, I knew true adventurers would arise in the wake of this. Also you have saved the Alliance having to send people of actual talent to take out this place. Come with me all of you"

    Up the elevator shaft a strange noise comes, clangs of metal are heard.

    The head shaman drags its way up onto the floor, collapsing in pain. A makeshift resurretion spell has restored him, barely. He collapses before Irwin, Gholduzin, Templeton and Corsiana.

    They turn to notice it.

    A black sphere appears in front of Thonrat, he can see his old Master within.

    "A stasis field to protect him, teleporting here to get him to safety. He shall never see the light of day again unless we release him. As a hero of the alliance I leave him in your hands dwarf"

    Thonrat now has a choice to make.

    The sphere dissipates when Thonrat touches it, after searching his mind and emotions to see if he can be trusted.

    Aelrindel drops out onto the ground.

    "Aelrindel of the Aenudale Elves, though you may retain your lands, you are hearby placed under Thonrat of the Limitless Mines, who shall now be your liege lord. This is by decree of the alliance"
