As the shamans reach for their staffs, Thonrat rushes forward and stabs one, the shaman stumbles back only to receive blaster fire from Quentanaa directly to the gut, his insides burned out.

The other gestures and a powerful gravitational field begins to crush Corsiana's body. She drops in pain.

Aelrindel goes to take a stab, but swings wide and scratches the glass, then slips on his ass dropping the dagger, tries to get up and slips again.

Redford breathes slowly as the rest of the Nerosians go to fire. Before they do and waste a shot, he lands a pinpoint blast on the last Shaman's head. The superheated plasma leaves no trace of skull behind, the body terminating in a cauterized wound halfway up the chest.

Thonrat looks at the other groups, shakes his head and grunts and finally offers a hand to Aelrindel.

While Corsiana recovers, the rest of the group search for any exits to the shamans lair.

Aelrindel and Thonrat push onwards with the Nerosians, searching for an exit to the tunnel. Aelrindel holds on to Thonrat for dear life as his moccasins keep sliding on the glass. Thonrat sees the scroll in Aelrindel's pocket, about to fall out...

He grabs it and hides it in his own.

It leads out into a long corridor with four rooms. Two on the North wall, two on the South wall. All covered in red energy fields.

At the end of the corridor is a set of pads with white lights on them and above the pads a long tunnel going up to the next floor.

A giant symbol of a gem lies on the wall next to the pads.

Aelrindel stops to catch his breath as Thonrat pushes on to the gem symbol.

'Thonrat, wait for me! I have the... THONRAT... where... is it?'

Aelrindel rushes back the way looking for the scroll as Thonrat pulls it from his pocket.

He reads the scroll near the gem pads, looking for instructions.

Corsiana slowly catching up with the rest of the group passes Aelrindel, "Hi.", then continues on.

The gem pads light up. According to the scroll one simply steps on.

Necro

Aelrindel stops and turns.

'You! You took it! It is mine... mine! Give it back!' Aelrindel follows Corsiana back up the passage way.

Thonrat steps on the gem pad just as Aelrindel walks into the room.

'NO! THONRAT! WHAT...'

Fourier

Thonrat floats up into a room with readouts and graphs on floating screens all around.

In front are two rooms, one behind the other visible through glass.

The first contains the gem's guardian. A massive MechaScorpion.



It doesn't move. A red line lies on the floor at the entrance to the scorpions room.

The second room has the gem itself floating in midair. A blue beam is shining from it out of the monolith and into the sky via a hole in the roof.

From the readouts a group of Banduin are arriving in ten minutes from the Heavenly Elevator. Fifty Strong.

Tana gets into the queue for the gem-pad.

Thonrat checks the room he is currently in for any items of note. He keeps an eye on the scorpion warily.

A store house of Banduin gems. They have little monetary value to the Banduin, but regulate their magic which remains as predictable as magic once was on Fourion.

A large table has a holographic map of Alliance territory and elsewhere on the planet floating above it. Around the region of their landing in the Zassanite desert seems to have the most floating text notes next to it. They have scanned far into the jungles south of Osinzir, further than any known peoples. It seems Osinzir legends are right, the jungle is at least a thousand miles long and the scans did not manage to reach its end. A spot is marked for the next attack, a town in the Triumvirate in what was once Zassan territory. It seems the far North, the Breaklands, have been marked a complete no go and they have no notes next to Bandyton.
