Mobile Wifi for the Shannon

    Hello,

    For the next boating season I was wondering about getting mobile wifi for my boat on Shannon, Has anyone any recommendations?

    I just use my phone as a hotspot works well with chrome cast and two tablets on the go, I'm with 3 and have unlimited broadband.

    If you are worried about your phone charge lasting all weekend I use a Netgear 785 Air Card with a cheap data sim in it.

    We use it for streaming music and it works brilliantly for that, and lasts a full weekend on a charge using it for 5/6 hours night, although we don't use it for video so obviously couldn't comment on that.

    I have used the laptop with it a couple of times as well and it was browsing and sending emails no problem, although the whole idea is to get away from the office for me at the same time!

    Thanks for the replies,

    I am thinking of streaming music and some netflix for the kids in the evening and maybe for emails if I manage a cheeky Friday work from the boat day....... :)
