    What's your favorite chipper food?

If there's a big feed on then it's a double cheeseburger, garlic chip, onion rings and two tins of Fanta.

    Add chicken nuggets if necessary.

Smoked cod, onion rings, rissole, batter mushrooms, batter burger, garlic chip baguette

Not all together, but it will usually be a combo from that lot

We really are such an unhealthy nation:)
"What's your favourite chipper food", doesn't necessarily mean "what's your favourite chipper food that you eat three times a day, seven days a week, you fat bastard". No more than somebody reading your post would be justified in inferring that we really are a nation quick to draw inaccurate conclusions from answers provided by a self-selecting sample responding to a loosely-worded question.

Quarter pounder with cheese and chips for me, OP. Onion rings if I'm starving, but I probably won't finish them. Just a shake of salt and vinegar. No pickles on the burger. Thanks. Once every couple of months or so.

I would think we used to be.

I think Ireland is moving towards healthier lifestyles

Part of the population have turned into triathlon running fitness freaks and part have turned into lardarses.

    Oi Oi Saveloy

Been near 8 years living over here now and still not had what I would call a good chipper meal - for a country that harps on about "fish n chips" so much. They cannot do nice chips. . . .anywhere.

I do love getting back to Dublin and getting my gnashers around a quarter pounder (possibly whurley burger) and some cracking chips from the Borza on Cromwellsfort Road

I thought he meant they were bad wherever he was now (presumably UK), not here.

Edit - or maybe you know that and you're in the UK. I'm confused now.

Battered stuff. No matter what I ever get from the chipper there will always be one battered sausage on the side.

Same as, unless its the pink sausage meat then thats a no no no!

Always seems to have more gristle in pink meat. ****ing rank.

    Yes
Vinegar to wet the chips, and then the salt sticks to them

How in the name of Jaysus did you only discover spice burgers last week ?

I've never had one. Not once. I always see them, looking at me through the glass like brown hockey pucks, but I've never been tempted. I don't even know what they are. Is it meat? If so why are they sold out of the bun? So many questions.

Never get burgers from a chipper. Pointless IMO

    1. Snack Box with 2 breasts, Onion Rings and Curry Sauce
    2. Fresh Cod and Chips and curry sauce

Only get salt on them too. Found when you add Salt and Vinegar in the chipper they dont travel in the car as well as chips with just salt on them. Buy a bottle of chipper vinegar and add when home

Whirly burgey - Batter burger in a bun with ketchup, fried onions and cheese. And a garlic cheese chip. Unhealthy as fcuk but so damn good.

  • Registered Users Posts: 29,294 ✭✭✭✭Mint Sauce

From the local chipper, it's a meat feast pizza and a curry chip. Up home it's a chicken fillet and a taco chip. No vinegar though, ugh.

I don't even know what a taco chip (and a few other items mentioned) is.

what's this using the singular "chip" when clearly there are multiple chipS in play?
