    What's your favorite chipper food?

I'm partial to an aul taco chips meself

(although my tummy does protest sometimes when I partake in eating greasy chips but anyhow that's neither here nor there...)

Battered stuff. No matter what I ever get from the chipper there will always be one battered sausage on the side.

    Cheese. Chips. Curry.

The fakest bullshít food. Even worse than Euro Chinese food.
"Sugar please. Yes, sugar. Yes, In my savoury dish please. Yes, obviously, a gallon of salt too. Yeah, it's Chinese food."

Anyway, it's not specific to any region & tastes very little like any recognisable curry. Just some oddball invention born from muck and I love it. I can't believe taco fries gets the mention for Ireland here.

Some variation on chips, onion rings, batter burger and a carton of curry. Lashings of salt, no vinegar.

Love taco chips, nothing better for soaking up the beer and making you regret all your previous nights decisions the next morning.

Not a big salt fan but lace the chips with vineger, plus i love the chips at the bottom of the bag that are soft from the vineger, tastes delicious.

Also like the snack box with a breast.

It depends on my mood. If keeping it solely to the chipper :

    - chicken fillet burger meal
    - snack/dinner box
    - fresh cod and chips
    - quarter pounder with cheese and chips

.. And yes, lots of salt and vinegar on the chips

    What's your favorite chipper food?

If there's a big feed on then it's a double cheeseburger, garlic chip, onion rings and two tins of Fanta.

    Add chicken nuggets if necessary.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,719 ✭✭✭✭Larbre34

Smoked cod, onion rings, rissole, batter mushrooms, batter burger, garlic chip baguette

Not all together, but it will usually be a combo from that lot

We really are such an unhealthy nation:)
"What's your favourite chipper food", doesn't necessarily mean "what's your favourite chipper food that you eat three times a day, seven days a week, you fat bastard". No more than somebody reading your post would be justified in inferring that we really are a nation quick to draw inaccurate conclusions from answers provided by a self-selecting sample responding to a loosely-worded question.

Quarter pounder with cheese and chips for me, OP. Onion rings if I'm starving, but I probably won't finish them. Just a shake of salt and vinegar. No pickles on the burger. Thanks. Once every couple of months or so.

    Oi Oi Saveloy

Been near 8 years living over here now and still not had what I would call a good chipper meal - for a country that harps on about "fish n chips" so much. They cannot do nice chips. . . .anywhere.

I do love getting back to Dublin and getting my gnashers around a quarter pounder (possibly whurley burger) and some cracking chips from the Borza on Cromwellsfort Road
