Have a look at his back catalogue. They're all class

    I will!

    Looking forward to it.

Oddly enough it was shared in our world cup WhatsApp earlier and I duly ignored it because I generally hate YT videos of that ilk. Thank god for Troyzer to rectify that silliness.

    I hate his stuff.

Then I watch the video 8 times at 0.25 speed.

Then I finally take it all in.

    Then I think it's class.

Yeah, Henderson is one of the common denominators in the 2 games where line outs were, or became, an issue.

Well if you're going to be like that I'd point out that there was another second row who was present on both occasions you reference!

One who's maybe not great in the lineout?

In all seriousness, it was interesting listening to Joe talking about it. He was talking about how much Hendo was taking on organisationally - how much he had to get his head around. Out of interest, would Toner have been calling the lineout at 26? (Think Hendo was 25 when he just started.)

.75x speed is the sweet spot imo. You can just about read all his text captions but his voice isn't distorted to sound like an inebriated robot.

My brain can't process information that fast. 0.25. Rinse and repeat.

I actually find his speed perfect. Used to listen to a very similar game reviewer called Zero Punctuation. Loved. It.

On that squidge video, nice to see acknowledgment of how well Marmion done. Seen a lot of talk about his box kicking was poor but I thought it was excellent for the most part as highlighted in that video.

Zero Punctuation is still going strong. His schtick has kinda worn off at this stage, though.

He's still a sarky **** though. Squidge's stuff is fantastic and plus, he seems a decent bloke, a regular over on the rugbyunion subreddit, can happily take the piss out of himself. There's a video in the recent week of him being interviewed at his local club (I think) that's worth a watch. His Leinster videos are worth the price of admission (admittedly zero) alone. I do love his love for that clip of Wales kicking the ball out against England in the WC. And he loves it.

And his taking the piss out of Folau.

Seriously though, Hendo was the line-out caller on both occasions. I don't think it's that big a deal. A good Argentina side targeted us there and made hay, while we also struggled a bit against one of the best line outs in the world. Hendo probably just needs more time calling at that level.

i couldn't get this answered on the munsterfans forum (posted it when the thread had gone quiet) so i'd thought i'd ask here
57.50 , looks like a ruck to me , how is Silvea's allowed to saunter up , grab the ball and run off ? https://www.reddit.com/r/teilifis/comments/9y5kbx/ireland_v_all_blacks/

    Are you talking about 58.50?

I presume Barnes just didn't see it and assumed it was a knock on. He didn't play advantage though, very strange.

*Actually, watching it again it's clear that a ruck never formed. The ruck is only formed when the ball touches the ground which it clearly didn't in this case. Barnes also says "first man" when Savea picks it up.

Given the position of the ball, he may have decided the ball was out. Or else that the first AB in had one the ball in a fair contest.

sorry 58:50 . i'm far from an expert but if the ball is on top of bodies on the ground , they're out of the game and the ball is considered the same as on the ground ? How is that not a ruck ? is it because the ruck has ended because there are no all blacks on their feet ?

Anyone know why Barnes was so anxious to talk to Cian Healy after Stockdales try? 1.57.20

Barnes was looking for sharpening tips for his dinner knives.

Looked like Healy came into celebrate before the try had been awarded and blocked Barnses view of the grounding somewhat. Didn't look serious either way.

Simply the wrong call by barnes... he called saveau as the first man in, when goodhue had been cleared out by dev and stander

should have been a penalty our way.

    edit:
actually on closer review... goodhue actually stole the ball and got it back it on top of the tackled player.. and barnes was right to call him "first man in"

sorry, 58:50 . my only reasoning of this is that the ruck is over when there are no more all black left on their feet in the ruck, ball is in open play so the all black can go in and take it . However what if the ball was between the feet of an irish rucking player ? surely he can't go in around the back and grab the ball. i'm inclined to say the ref made a mistake unless we conclude that nobody were on their feet so that would clear everything up because it's open play there and would still have been a ruck if there was one irish player left on their feet (after the all black had been cleaned out of the ruck) . A bit complicated but not that hard i suppose. Is it a ruck is the main question . The part about the ball not being on the ground, my take if the ball is on a player who's out of the game, then it's as if the ball is on the ground.
i'm sure there are more people here who know the game way better than i do (i'm a gaa background mostly, though i like rugby a lot). thanks
