Maybe give the feral youths families a 3 strike ultimatum and their out (of homes or dole cut).

We might be surprised at how responsible the parenting suddenly becomes.

And maybe the Gardai could do their jobs also.

Aye but we don't have a police force in the country unfortunately.

The social housing development at St Cuthbert’s is part of a wider plan to address some of the issues in the area including the installation of CCTV and facilities for Clondalkin Celtic soccer club.

However, the roll-out of the CCTV system has been delayed.

.....You'd think perhaps someone dealing with is might figure that making the CCTV system a priority could help no?

The antisocial behaviour in this country is seriously getting out of hand.

I wonder do the idiots know that the houses are most likely being built for them and their families.

The problem is not that - it is that the parents who would rather drag up their kids don't give a sh!t.

Can't target the kids so target the parents.

    Sorted lightning fast.

We are too soft on this in this country.

To be honest the guards really haven't much of a hope here, they've ran some big operations in that park. It is actually like something out of the wire, there is so many entrances and exits and drugs are being dealt by teenagers on scramblers. They lift a bunch of them and hours later there are more there dealing.

Drug users from all over Dublin are now going there and it's a gold mine for the scum.

Edit: Just read that actual article, that's head in the sand stuff labelling it as anti social behaviour, it's worse than that. There is a massive drug dealing ring in the park which is where the intimidation is coming from IMO.

If you had entitled this thread "Gangs from Clondaklin at it again" you'd have got a lot more traffic OP. It's a good way to round those up that are good to put on your ignore list.

Funny how it's always the states fault for the behaviour of people. Is taking responsibility for ones actions something unheard of in Ireland?

The article doesnt go into much detail but workers were hospitalized due to being assaulted.

Its not only youths causing trouble it is a serious crime gang in the area that nearly killed a security worker.

No chance these houses are getting built now the plug will be pulled.

Its awful that the people stopping these homes are probably/certainly living in social houses themselves. Plus all the workers out of work before xmas

don't be daft. that's only for regular tax paying citizens (and I don't include politicians in that)

(politics, from the latin word for many : poly and tics, blood sucking creatures)

They were. They had two operations targeting anti social behaviour in that district. They were both cancelled due to lack of manpower and cancellation of overtime.

Would be curious to see how the cost of the garda overtime stacks up against the cost of the antisocial behaviour and the cost of having a project that size halted....

Who said its the states fault? Its obvious the lowlifes or their parents won't take responsibility, are you that naive to think they will?

They never do, hence my call for the gardai to get involved.

This is what happened in nearby Cherry Orchard when new houses were being built.

A CONSTRUCTION WORKER in Dublin has been taken to hospital after a man set a digger on fire while the worker was operating the vehicle.

It's a wider there's crime in the world at all. Have you thought about rocking up at some policing conferences and telling them to just do their jobs?

I blame Eoghan Murphy. Sure why not?

It’s his fault these kids are out of control.

We need to build free houses for these kids and their offspring.

    Shame shame shame!!

    Leo out!

    Murphy out!

These gangs need free houses now!

Oh wait they were probably been built for jacinta and one of these lads who terrorised the workers.

People talk about the inequality in this country.

The only inequality is low life’s getting free houses who contribute nothing versus hard working people who could only dream of actually getting one of these houses and paying for it.

    What a country.

The issue is . Imagine these people if they didn't get the dole and weren't housed.

    Do you think I care?

We’re too soft, a night on the streets might wake them up to how lucky they are.

Constantly throwing money at them clearly isn’t working.

    They just laugh at us.

Why would anyone even want to move into the homes? They'll probably get rejected by regular folk and the parents of the scrotes will get their forever homes. A great reward.

The houses aren't for working folk.

Wouldn't have any qualms with those construction men beating up those little ****s.

Delinquents are really pushing the envelope with their "untouchable" status simply because they're kids and abuse it so...

Ah yes easy to say behind a keyboard. You aren't just dealing with little sh!ts . Its a serious criminal gang behind it

In whose interests is it that these houses aren't built / finished ?

Or maybe I'm just being overly suspicious.

This is what happens when you grant benefit per child.
Spain doesn't have this benefit system - strangely enough you don't have roaming gangs of knuckle dragging ferral sub human scum terrorizing the streets either.
