In terms of an new 100hp 4wd tractor with a loader does anyone know what's the typical price range. And in terms of JD, NH, MF, Case & Claas where are these in order of cost.

Brand new I’d hazard a guess around 100k

Depends on spec but you'll get a 100hp claas with loader for c 70k. MF are about 85k. Case, my, JD would be similar

I would expect a new tractor c/w loader and a new car for 100k. Everyone knows the general price of a range of car between makes. Knowing tractor prices is like knowing the third secret of Fatima. A bit like the three card trick when the dealer turns over the card and no-one can see in to what's happening.

Have ya looked at other brands than those four.
Two boardsies have new Landini’s, despite Reggies slight blip, there seems to be no issues.

That blip wasn't the tractors fault either. Bloody idiot in the factory.

Landini could be got a lot cheaper than the main brands with the same spec and sometimes more. Could be 15k to 20k cheaper new.

I was talking to an uncle of mine on Thursday when a neighbor of his passed with a new Kubota with front loader, said he only gave 40,000 for it. Some Value if its true..

You should be able to get a JD5100M with a H240 loader for about 70K depending on what extras you're looking for.

On hindsight a good 2nd hand jcb loadall for like 35k and 2nd hand loader tractor for similar money would be alot better value than spending 75k on a new loader tractor.

Not yet, I wanna pickup 20 or so more incalf heifers and haven't managed to convince my dad to that idea yet ha, myown tractor still doing the job but in time defo.

Do you mind me asking what was the fault in the end? I followed the thread at the time but forgot about it once it went off the front page.

New Landini's are still a good seller around here.

Landinis are getting very popular around the midlands also

A lump of plastic that was in the fuel tank was starving the engine of diesel at times hence causing the engine to go into lump mode.

After a bit of investigating it was discovered it was a broken piece of the fuel cap. Someone in the factory overtightened the fuel cap and broke a piece off it and it fell into the tank. They just replaced the cap and never removed the piece from inside the fuel tank. So tbix piece was floating around the fuel tank causing trouble

Shuttle is just slow. Nowhere near as slow as the powermondial we had (which took a full 2sec to move after disengaging the clutch, but the current vision still slow), in the field that's OK but in and out of the pit/feed passage all winter that's a nightmare. Every powershuttle is going to have a lag, however the likes of the NH and jcb it's defo quicker and alot nicer in my view. Other issue I have with likes of 5H from test driving new ones were silly things like having to have both the shuttle and gearstick in nutrual before it would start, my dad would find that near impossible and it wrecks my head ha. That's probably an issue with all new tractors however.

Well the neutral is a safety thing and most of the new ones have that with the same gearbox.

Are you sure you can't adjust the clutch. You can on mine. I can have it as slow as yours or instant depending how I set it and the work it's doing. There might be a knob in the cab to adjust it.

Simply ring a few main dealers.. new holland.john deer. Mf etc there like the new cars large variations in prices and a mind boggling list of gizmos that All dealers will try to flog.. a loader like a rossmore fl 80 or 100 should be around the 7k mark.. implements will be extra and depends on whether you want self leveling and soft ride as extra. The soft ride gives the front axle a better life. But you'd get by forever without self leveling
Happy shopping it's a big spend

Not on the older ones. And yep agreed with the safety switches on all new tractors, it's another reason why 75k is a waste on one in my view. Then things like the bloody seat switch that turns off the pto, which the manufacturers then had to put in an override switch for say doing things like agitation. And obviously a contractor like yourself will have a different view, for me I mostly need a basic reliable loader that I'll put an hr or 2 on across the winter feeding, which I've now realized the loadall is the best machine for the job, outside of that any loader tractor will do for the small bit of field work I do.

New 115hp case around 70k, no loader. Very expensive. I think Tim isn't too far wrong with the notion of second loadall and second tractor. Good quality second hand stuff hard got thou.

If it’s any help to you, I gave €60k for a new case 105u (105hp & included air conditioning, push out hitch and telescope mirrors which were all extras) 3 years ago. At that time, the similar massy was €10k more. McCormack and landini were €5k less.

The one thing that I will say is that shopping around three other dealers in the midlands, I got two other prices at €65 and €70k for the same tractor and spec and I was being offered €5k less on the trade in with the €70k guy. So shop around.

What are peoples views on external lift control switchs versus the manual lever that does the same thing but takes longer. You could have either on a NH T5.105

That was with a case loader factory fitted.

A friend of mine bought a new JD this year - circa 105 or 110 hp. €74k with loader.
