Some of the acting is as hammy as it comes though.

Especially the entire family of the house party girl. (Sia)

    They were borderline Killinascully

Yeah that scene was totally stupid. what is was the heavy breathing long pauses talking. It added nothing and I nearly gave up the show after 10 mins of that ****e.

It's pretty bad imo, nowhere near as good as season 1 , Mr Mercedes 2 followed a similar path, brutal season 2 .

    Imo.

Mr Mercedes season 2 was an abomination
Nothing like the second book at all
Ignored the main part of the whole story line in favour if the ridiculous plot they dragged out

Outlaw King bored me senseless. Totally uncinematic story told in the most technically and stylistically bland way imaginable. It's amazing how much money went into this ($120 million!!) yet it still ends up feeling like a tv movie. The director seems to have prepared for it by studying Game of Thrones episodes.

It's been mentioned before on here but as a reminder.. the brilliant Dead Set is now on Netflix.

Aired over 5 days on Halloween on E4 10 years ago, it's just well-written good fun by Black Mirror creator Charlie Brooker.

Without giving too much away, it's essentially zombies overrun the Big Brother house!

I thought the same, very poor for what could have been a decent movie

I enjoyed Outlaw King, definitely has its issue, the Prince is a weaker character than the King and poorer actor too, I read 20 mins were cut, but it could do with more it ran a bit long.

Perusing through the recently added stuff, and decided to watch An American tail.

While it did come out before I was born and I would have watched last when very young, am I the only who fully missed the fact (even with the names) they were Jewish and that it was a pogroms at the start with the Cossack.

So awkward. We don't get iPlayer but everywhere outside the UK and Ireland it's on Netflix. I hate that kind of limbo.

Wish I'd have read this earlier. Woeful stuff. Even a few GOT actors.

I’m not sure whether it has just been added or has it just popped back in my recommends, but DEAD SET is on Netflix. It’s a Charlie Brooker show well worth a watch.

It’s literally a horror series based in and around a Big Brother house. Any early 00s BB fans will enjoy how it is produced.

Just finishing season 2 of El Marginal, have to say the quality of story-telling and depth of characters improves from S1 and it's easily the most absorbing show I've watched this year other than Maniac. The violence can be off the wall, but is counter-balanced by disarmingly sweet moments too.... and it's set in a prison in Buenos Aires after all. The sound-track and pacing of S2 is also excellent, as is the brutal fashion in which relationships are played out across family and prison wall lines.
