Not sure if it was mentioned already but The Break (La Treve) is a very decent Belgian series.

Hat tip to The Forest (La foret) also

I also loved Lillehammer but it's probably a love it or hate it kind of show.

I've never had Netflix, and anytime I've thought about it I tried to search to no avail to see what documentaries they had.

Is there any page which states clearly: 'Netflix has [state number] documentaries. Here are the historical documentaries: listed. Here are the business documentaries: listed', etc?

When you go to their website, you get this rather than a list of the documentaries and their categories. I'm not going to sign up for something when I can't see what the offer is (so last time I went with Amazon Prime instead as at least I knew what they had - even though I never had time to watch it so let the membership lapse)

There's a way of accessing the different categories
you need to be logged into netflix
    Go to this address
    www.netflix.com/browse/genre/XXXX
replace the x's with the codes for whatever genre you want here
    https://www.zmonline.com/random-stuff/here-are-the-secret-netflix-codes-that-unlock-tons-of-hidden-movies-and-shows/

Eg, to get the science and nature documentaries, go to

    www.netflix.com/browse/genre/2595

All three are the theatrical cuts.

I watched Our House a couple of days a go. Not a bad little indie horror. Not scary at all but the story is decent enough.

“Can’t wait to check out the new Orson Welles film” is a sentence I’ve never had the pleasure of saying before :)

This was an interesting, if flawed, twist on the vampire genre: where everyone has become a vampire, the story revolving around the dwindling blood supplies. Came from the same pair that wrote / directed the underrated Predestination (and also stars Ethan Hawke). Still has some great world-building - such as getting ones morning coffee with a dash of blood - but the story kinda fell over once it ramped up. Worth a look though IMO.

All three are the theatrical cuts.

Mercifully so if the director's cuts have more material than the theatrical cuts, good movies but badly needed some editing down imo

The first two films are improved greatly by the extended cuts, last one not so much.

Line of duty season 4 seems to have been added, I presume peteeed mentioned it before.

Completely agree, actually better to watch the first two extended, and finish with ROTK theatrical.

I did and by my recent posting I've posted it on multiple threads not related to Netflix 😂

Spending the day watching the LOTR trilogy, going to be a day well spent

Can someone please explain to me why I bothered to watch Apostle all the way to the end? Although I did fast forward some parts.
I am never going to get that time back.. :(

Third episode into Safe, its a 8 part British Drama about a missing 16 year old, that vanished from a house party in a private estate.

Very interesting so far, there so much going on.

Just Halfway through TTTs after watching FOTR earlier. Probably the best fantasy movies ever made. So so good no matter how many times I see it.

I've never seen any lords of the ring film, not sure if it's for me but I'm going to try one over the next few days.

First one is filler but necessary. Slow as hell. Keep with it and watch them all.

I'm not sure about that, I watched Apostle and quite enjoyed it, though it could have been a bit shorter. Certainly one of the better Netflix exclusive films, for me at least. But there do seem to be some divided opinions about it...

I love the first one.. so many memorable scenes..

.. ROTK is the weakest IMO if only for the
12 fecking "fade to black" endings..

Not sure if it qualifies as a "hidden gem" or not, but The Haunting of Hill House is really good and it's not quite what I expected. I expected it to be about 90% horror, 10% whatever else. Whereas it's actually 70% dark family drama, 30% horror.

The first is my favourite too, movie and book.. the books are magnificent, the detail awesome. I had read the books numerous times before the movies came out..

I am saving the movies now for the xmas hols, compensate for all the sh!te that'll be on.
