I imagine it will be our possible League QF ??

We have Offaly/Carlow and Galway at home and Laois and Dublin away

What? A QF we havent even qualified for? It will be one of the three designated home matches surely?

Who's getting a season ticket for next year? Probably worth it for the decent seats in Munster championship but the league is basically a joke now. I got it for first time last year and found it good value so will probably renew as we've Galway at home in the league,

as we've Galway at home in the league,

Knowing our luck, the game we've to forfeit home advantage will probably the Galway one being moved in Thurles or something. mad.png

There’s no mention of a championship game in the season ticket for this season.
The only reference to the championship is being guaranteed a ticket for the All Ireland Final should your county qualify.
All intercounty league games are included and all club games.
The club only season ticket is €120.
€80 for entry to all league games seems to be the cost. Given 3 of those are now away after this penalty being imposed it doesn’t make sense to get one in my opinion. Unless Waterford were to get to the league final, then it might work out that you save in the region of €10 - €20.

The first game will probably be the one where we lose home advantage. Think that’s against Offaly. Do they go to neutral venues or will Offaly be awarded home advantage?

Actually the €80 is for club games it seems, the €120 ticket is for Intercounty league and the potential All Ireland ticket.

Correct but see the promotion of the season ticket on Waterford GAA Facebook and Twitter pages, that part has been removed.
May be due to the uncertainty over where our home games will be played in the championship possibly but I certainly won’t purchase one until it’s confirmed first championship game is included.

Hopefully it's just a typo on the Waterford gaa pages. Be so unfair to pay the same as other counties and not have access too championship fixtures

Dean Ryan Cup Under 16.5 A Hurling Final
Thurles CBS v De La Salle Waterford today at 1:30pm in Bansha

Best of luck too DLS college today. Always luke seeing Schools success

Twould be the most logical one as it's the one involving the furthest travel for the opponents.

Facebook post updated to include the first championship fixture for free and discount for the other group games.

"We're adamant that it's Fraher Field or forget it. It was Newbridge or nowhere and the new cult here is Fraher Field or forget it"

So Kieran Leddy Munster CEO says that PJRs Fraher Field or Forget it "Cult" was only an off the cuff remark & holds no substance & is nothing but a ball of smoke.

Isnt it great to see our county board chairman so credible! Real finger on the pulse....

From what I hear and see these business men who only hang around the Waterford senior hurling team are out of touch with the GAA .These hangers on are not involved in GAA clubs they dont relies how hard it is to come up with 2000 euro to pay county levels ,They dont relies how hard it is to knock on the same door within the community to buy a lotto ticket,Deise Draw tickets , A ticket for development work in our own club. Clubs dont need this debt. Walsh park will be grand we wont have to sleep there (I hope ) . How much did the county senior teams run over budget last year ? Why is there such a Gap bewteen football and hurling budgets. What has happen with our underage success why arent we competing in Munster finals ?Why is football so bad at county level when clubs represents us well in Munster. If these men really care about Waterford GAA these are the questions that need answering, I'd settle for great teams rather than flashy facilities we need more money & people pumped in at underage level, All our county teams are under funded at all levels hurling and especially football and Can someone please inform Eamon Keane that Walsh Park will be the home of Waterford GAA not Waterford hurling and while your at it will you remove the hands of these business men from his h*** and tell him stop being a puppet for these so called Waterford hurling men SORRY Waterford GAA men

I believe that the Nire will have the elements at their backs for the 2nd 30 mins, according to journalist Tomas McCarthy, who is there at Fraher Field.

Bad day for club football in Waterford

In the Munster club intermediate semi final Kilcummin (Kerry) 2-17- Kilmacthomas 0-01. Embarrassing Tbh

Nire 0-9- St Joesphs 2-11 In the senior

Tbh private owned enterprise and the GAA dont really go hand in hand. JP McManus is an exceptional case in that he gives just out of personal passion for Limerick and the GAA. He dosent ask for anything in return and he's so rich anyway its just pocket change to him. Im not saying dont listen to what these men have to offer but d be very wary about jumping in unless there is strict conditions and guarantees.

County board should just drive on with Walsh park. A 20k stadium in Carriganore would be nice but ts more wishful thinking than reality. Only filling it twice a year makes little business sense and it could quickly become a white elephant that could strangle our clubs with debt. We're not Cork or Dublin, its just not necessary for our needs right now

Tragic reason why Kilmacthomas played so bad and it's a wonder why the game was even on. The heads and heart were deff not in the game for the squad

Would love a Ballygunner win next Sunday but they will have to be at there best

Clubs voted unanimously in favour of Walsh Park developemnt at last nights meeting.

Your post is very sensible and truthful. Would we really want to lump 8-10k levels on clubs per year to fund a new greenfield site.

    I don't think so.

Where is this figure of 8-10k per club per year being brought out of? Or who made it up?
