19 that we know of. Rumoured to have ordered many more

involved in racketeering, extortion and arms trafficing to the IRA in the 80`s.
He also won 14m dollars in the Massachusetts State Lottery. He owned the shop that sold the ticket

89 years of age, thats a good innings. Apparently he had his eyes gouged out. Bad way to go. He was about to spill the beans big time on the FBI.

His murder is being blamed on lack of resources.

    LOL

'Black Mass', Johnny Depp played him.

    'The Departed' as well, maybe?

Seriously who can take American law enforcement or the prison service seriously. Three homicides in that prison in a month.

James Bulger was the name of the murdered kid, not the killers.

There was recent Johnny Depp movie about Bulger specifically. Black Mass.
And Jack Nicholson's character in The Departed was largely based on Bulger - although the story itself was based on a previous movie from Hong Kong.

The Hong Kong movie is pretty good too, but the departed follows it so closely it's pretty much spoiled as far as plot goes

Bulger was the young lad killed in Liverpool.

Thompson and Venables were the two scummy little bastards who killed him.

According to reports, wheelchair-bound Bulger was mixing with other inmates when three rolled him into a corner out of view of cameras. There they battered his head with a padlock in a sock and tried to gouge his eyes out with a homemade knife.

If you make it to 89 in that kind of life, you will have pissed off a few people

You think that is only in the US? The rest of the western world has prisons that more resemble knitting clubs than prisons?

Just reading on the BBC that the neighbour who reported him to the FBI got a $2M reward. Nice.
