He murdered 19 people, no resting in peace needed

He can't complain about how his life ended, none of his victims that he killed could either.

I'd say it will never be known how many he murdered or ordered but he lived some life, not that I condone what he did. As someone else said decent film too

He killed a gang members ex girlfriend because he felt she knew too much about their business.

She didn't deserve the end she got. He'd kill people for ridiculous reasons all the time.

Even his own crew thought he was insane. The Kevin Weeks book 'Brutal' is a great insight into Bulger's sick world.

FBI were complict in many of these killings.

Turning a blind eye because he was feeding info on the Italians.

The FBI agent he was giving the info to, in turn told Whitey the FBI were coming after him hence he went into hiding. The agent was imprisoned for it after iirc

89 years of age, thats a good innings. Apparently he had his eyes gouged out. Bad way to go. He was about to spill the beans big time on the FBI.

His murder is being blamed on lack of resources.

    LOL

'Black Mass', Johnny Depp played him.

    'The Departed' as well, maybe?

Seriously who can take American law enforcement or the prison service seriously. Three homicides in that prison in a month.

James Bulger was the name of the murdered kid, not the killers.

There was recent Johnny Depp movie about Bulger specifically. Black Mass.
And Jack Nicholson's character in The Departed was largely based on Bulger - although the story itself was based on a previous movie from Hong Kong.

The Hong Kong movie is pretty good too, but the departed follows it so closely it's pretty much spoiled as far as plot goes
