I'll be giving a protest vote to the candidate calling a slash hook a slash hook.

Right lads we can bitch and moan all we want but we need a plan that forces the goverment to stop giving people like her 50K a year or building houses people reject due to lack of stables.

Take the kids from her and leave her on the streets. Or stop the money and leave her and her kids on the streets, then take them from her as she is not fit to provide for them.

What can we do to cause change?

I've only one idea, starve the goverment either by a general national strike or by not buying anything non essential, to effect VAT returns.

    Any ideas?

First they came for the socialists...

Now we know why the kids were well dressed and she could still afford a people carrier.

No mention of this at all on the 9 o clock news, no surprise there really.

I wonder does MOC still think it was a pleasure to meet her.

Twitter was full of condemnation that poor margaret and her family slept in a police station, not a peed out of anyone today. I only found out about this when looking at boards.

This old thing? Ah I stole it from Penneys.

At last I have found someone to vote for in this election, good luck Peter Casey.
Predictable that the media’s darling Mags didn’t make the 9 o clock news on her 38th conviction when they were quiet happy to report on her rantings at the housing protests.

Take the kids off her, put her in jail. Everyone wins.

She gets her Foreva Home, and the kids have at least some chance in life.

My tenner on Casey is looking rosier every day.
This woman is the epitome of everything he said and to top it all a wannabe media sensation whose chickens have come home to roost. Casey's PR team are probably in delirium right now

    Peter Casey.

Who will do what as president?

I hate people like cash just as much as the next person but casey if given the chance would just as quickly screw over everyone around him like cash does. Only difference is he would do it in a suit.

Dont vote for the president based off a single issue that ultimately they have zero effect on.

Perhaps it's only some of the chickens who are roosting....who knows, there may be a few bantam's still in the air....:) ?

    Broke the law 39 times.

Got caught, charged and convicted 39 times.

    Sounds believable....

All shoplifting, drugs or anything more serious? Must say it's awesome timing for all this to come today of all days after Peters remarks.

Why, do you think the courts made a special hearing just for her. More like opportune timing

I feel like I’m living in some sort of parallel universe. How in the name of Christ has this woman got a shred of credibility?

She’s claiming the government is robbing her despite taking €50k a year from them and doing nothing to earn it. That, in itself, is bizarre enough but now she’s been done for shoplifting from Penny’s. It’s surreal that she’s not being roundly condemned in the media.

I’ve been against the social media/instant news culture for years because it promotes narcissism, innacuracy and vacuous opinions. But now we’ve got someone being touted as a “campaigner” for one of the most serious problems in this country despite being wholly unsuited to that role in every respect and being given a voice despite the fact that she does nothing but shout empty, illogical rhetoric.

I’m not sure if I’m angry or just bemused by the whole thing.

Awesome timing that her court appearance was today for something she did back in February?

Imagine the amount of times she wasn’t caught and got away with it. That’s why these people do it,

How much is it costing to bring her to court each time as well.

Ireland has, apparently, one of the most developed and nuanced electorates in the free World.

The various electoral pundits who cover these things, often assure a breathless World, that the Irish really know how to operate their electoral system...yea ?

There is little danger of Irelands Presedential electorate voting for P Casey, just because of his speaking out on this issue,we are far more prescient folk, which therefore will see quite a few voters,do their own thinking based upon Casey's decision to openly strike a pose against the narrative.

An awful LOT of the great unwashed are a wee bit happier than a Politican, even a wannabe one,has actually taken their thoughts and put them up for debate....very few of the "Professional" and long standing Irish Political elite have come anywhere near such a thing in recent years.

Neither do I didn't know until I looked at boards to see whats happening, saw the posts and did a google where it said she was in court today for stealing 300+ worth of goods from Penneys in February. Her last story about having to sleep with her kids in a police station was all over the news, papers etc. You'd have to be a hermit with no links to the outside world not to know about Margaret Cash looking for a forever home
