    Should I listen back?

TWODAY'S De Brand NEW & IMPROVED so to speak 2-18 Joe Duffy Wurkday Calculator and dat:

Wurkdays in 2-18 and dat: 184
    Joe Shows: 147
    No Show Joe Shows: 37
    Breakeens 4 Joe: 37

PBH (de full-time host of de show) Shows: 32
PBH guest appearances and dat: 1
    D'Omen Shows: 4
    AN Udder Shows: 0
Good Fryday No Show by nobody at all at all: 1

    NEW FEATURE SO TO SPEAK:
Fateen's Estimated Fees (De FEF Matrix so to speak) to date dis year:
    AT LEAST €367,500*

(not including de EXTRA FEES for 3 days of De Beast From De East TV + Radio Simulcast Xtravaganza + likely "Danger Money" for travelling to and from wurk in de snow and dat nor d'expenses for driving, vittels and de overnightin' often mere days in advance of a FunnyFryday. Wurking class man wit de wurking class wurk ettic and dat.
    King-World-News-WTF-Is-Going-On-Here-864x400_c.jpg
*de fees are calculated at €2,500 per show x days dat Fateen is in so to speak. Dose fees are likely conservative and outdated as day are 2 years old so to speak.
I'm including Good Fryday as a Wurkday as it is not an official Bank Holiday/Holiday Day. Even Pat Kenny is in Newstalk FFS, but no-one in RTE of course of course.

De way tings are going with de Brexit and dat RTÉ will pay gift Fateen more money in 2-19 dan de Brits will pay de EEE Yew to leave so to speak....

Did I skip some of the thread or did he leave out the Palmarians altogether so to speak in favour of Brexit Talk?

You did, you should take care of business instead of lifting copper bolts of hound crap into a plastic bag.

Leave the drop there, man, and listen to the show, it’ll be gone in a month or two, no harm done.

    Anguish McAnally produced.

Just had a flashback there to once going on a date with someone who had worked on the Liveline Show (no, it wasn't Aonghus before anyone asks!), and she had nothing but praise for Joe.

It was long before I'd heard-tell of this forum, so I didn't really ask for any dirt, but he seems to be very popular among his colleagues, if that employee was anything to go by. A sound man, whatever you think of his broadcasting style.

    *Waves to Joe*

    *Ducks from Butters*

You don't need to duck but a quick google re. his former producers and the rate at which he went through them would suggest otherwise........

I could tell you some stories...............one witnessed forst hand and several from a friend-een or two who work in RTÉ or bodies associated with RTÉ so to speak.

    Sounds totally made-up
I had to consider it because it was so ginormous of an offer, but I felt the ethos of the station and what I do on Liveline is very suited to the organisation, rather than somewhere else.”

Totally! Keeping the illusion going that he is worth the money

As the man himself says, he travelled up and down the country making Gay Byrne a household name. Sure he must be worth it so.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,028 ✭✭✭✭ButtersSuki

I'm sure Gaybo will love reading this line in particular:

"I travelled Ireland making Gay Byrne a household name – that was a chore."

Yeah Joe, it was YOU that made Gay the name he is.........

    And this beauty:
'"I had to consider it because it was so ginormous of an offer"

Unlike the peanuts you're paid now???!!!!!!! WTF? What planet are you on?

Is he delusional or what? Gay Byrne was a household name in the 60s when Duffy was in short pants.
