Hank/Gomez were in or around the laundry a few times and still couldn't find any sign of the lab. Gus is meticulous. He'd rather spend a lot of money and go to huge effort to create something near perfect than to risk it to save money by creating a lesser product. Hence why he also had no objection to Mike's suggestions about what to put in the living quarters for the guys who'll be doing the job. The lab under the laundry was overboard, but given its purpose and how much money he'd be making from it, overboard was better in order to eliminate as much risk as possible. A lab out in a farm in the countryside would never match the lab under the laundry.

I am getting a bit bored with it all. The only character I really care about is Nacho, and he is given very little screen time. I loved Mike but even he is doing nothing now. Come on BCS, something exciting has to happen soon or I'm giving up.

Never enjoyed it more,season 4 has been exceptional.

Don't think so. It would need to be near the laundry. IIRC, the chicken farm was isolated..

Fully agree. The writing and acting has been outstanding. Hard to see anyone beating Bob Odenkirk for awards season even this far out. Depending on how the last few episodes go, Rhea Seehorn likely to at least get nominated as well.

I found it very hard at first to buy into a BB prequel when you already knew the fate of most of the bigger players for the most part, though it is exceptionally good and this season's been particularly good.

I wonder if they'll call a halt at S5, like Breaking Bad? All good things should end around then, nothing worse than something dragged out and the inevitable dip in quality that follows.

Also wonder as to how much we'll end up getting on the post-BB life we've only briefly seen thus far.

Loving this season. It's turned into one of my favourite shows of all time.

I feel like it could do with a longer season five like Breaking Bad had, and then it's over.

In the previous episode Jimmy talks about how back in the day he wouldn't have the young fellas attack him or he'd be aware of it before it happened.
New Jimmy does things differently now

Great episode again, setting up the place for the Germans and already identifying one guy to watch....there's going to be more to that I reckon.

I think that we've seen how Jimmy and Kim are going to split as well.

I’m the same, while I love the dialogue, drama and story progression that has less to with BB, I gotta admit , the closer it gets to BB and the violence/gang/meth stuff the more excited I get.

Can’t be helped. BB is the best TV series I’ve ever seen.

Mike said in the episode that the houses in the warehouse are far away from the operation, so it's nowhere near the laundry. They'd want them far away as they don't want the guys building the lab to have any idea where it might be. Same as the elaborate pickup method used to bring in the engineers in the last episode.

This episode was about the best in a while. There's little bits of good stuff in each episode, but most of it doesn't do much for me - especially the Mesa Verde/Kim stuff that doesn't seem to have any real bearing on whats happening. That is unless something huge is going to happen, and we just don't see it!

It's all interesting, but not what I'd call fantastic. If this were a standalone show, I'd have given up on it.

I think this is a good point I am 50/50 on that myself.
I like seeing the BB characters appear and the little references I try to look out for them.
If I didn't see BB bad would I enjoy it as much? I am not sure.
Then again if I had no idea about BB I would have no idea how the characters turn out.

They seem to be making Mesa Verde less likable when Paige said 'We are not a client you hang up on' it had an edge to it.

Maybe I am reading too much into it?

That the whole German crew will be offed as once Kai goes the rest will need to go !! :eek: at first I thought ridicolous but ****ing hell, that would be one major WTF moment, and a real moment for Mike to Break Bad - he is still not as much as a hard ass as he is in BB .... thoughts ?

Dont think so. Mike doesn't really break bad. He wouldn't even take the little boy statue job from Jimmy cos it meant robbing an innocent person. Mike actually has a line / morals.

I cant believe he'd wipe out an entire workforce just because one goes rogue.
