    how do you figure that? DB don't provide the info on stop either. But neither of them dictate that anyway, it's down to the NTA.
    DB at least have a section on their website.

    Straight from the board minutes back in May

    The Board considered a proposal by a Board member that the NTA’s plans for a uniform livery for PSO bus services including Dublin Bus and Bus Éireann should be the subject of a further public consultation process, in which persons with disabilities would be actively involved. The Board concluded that the matter was one for the Executive rather than the Board and the proposal was not adopted

    Supposedly the vehicle requirement for the 175 isn't that high, so surely they could do it quickly?

    I hope they are going back to the drawing board with the livery. That hybrid mess looked like a clear after thought.

    That is exactly what it is. A complete repaint would cost too much, they will simply add the yellow to them.

    Still have not seen what the second yellow option was though.

    Perhaps they could just be waiting to introduce the 175 when Go-Ahead take over the 45a, 59, 63, 75, 111, 184 and the 185 on the 7th October.

    I guess they are lucky the move of DB services wasn't due to take place in September.


    Will GoAhead receive compensation for this delay in commencement of services?

    Unfortunately I do not have the answers to all the questions :)

    I've heard nothing to suggest it will not be September, but you can never be 100% sure.

    That is unfortunate. What a shame that again the livery is now being subject to another public consultation. Now the disabled groups now will get a chance to have their own say on the issue.

    Have there been any more bus stops been installed after Goatstown by the NTA for the 175?

    It isn't - that note was from back in May that another poster said - the NTA turned down the request for another consultation and said it's a matter for their executive.

    If there is one fundamental purpose of this route it is to get American college girls from UCD to the Dundrum Centre on a Sunday (route 17 doesn't run to UCD on Sunday).

    I saw a few 175's out today, all empty. It will take time but here's hoping that it will do well.

    Not the only buses in Dublin running empty on a Sunday to be fair. Also it usually takes a few weeks before people start beginning to use a new bus route. Even when the 145 was first introduced a lot of people wouldn't use it as they weren't aware of where it was going and waited for a 45 or 46a instead.

    At least the destination blinds were working not very common when DB start out on a new route usually it took a few weeks before the destination boards were showing the correct destination on a new route although these problems were on the old dot matrix or roller blind buses which were probably harder to change.

    I think the real test for them will be from tommorrow. How will they cope getting the buses out of Ballymount and to their terminuses on time and how the 175 will cope with traffic and higher passenger volumes.
