Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    It's turning into Dallas!

    What's with all the mishaps and accidents?

    Are Casinos a thing with the Indians,it featured heavily in Banshee as well

    Indians love casino's, generate lots of revenue from them, and don't have to follow any laws but their own.

    The Native American casino's generated somewhere like 26 billion annual revenue...its a wonder why a lot of their reserves are crime ridden dumps with extreme poverty. Monetary inequality is also a big issue...Not all reserves are like this, but there is certainly a majority

    Same goes for the native Australian people, maybe their is a biological reason for this, as both groups would have evolved independently for so long without outside influence. Unlike Europe & Asia which would have had a much higher level of genetic diversity

    That massive Indian character from Banshee showed up in one of the episodes. Wonder if he will be in any more.

    That was a top season of TV.

    Loved the soundtrack that went with it as well.


    That last scene with Costner walking was just stunning.

    Started watching first episode last night, got half way through and gave up :( Other half's comment was "I'm totally confused and it's very "ranchy"".

    I have been trying for ages to find something my wife and I can watch that we both enjoy - I had high hopes so really disappointed. Kids interrupting multiple times probably didn't help...

    Does it get better; is it worth sticking with?

    Didn't realise that was the season finale until after it finished. That was decent.
    Kayce .. damn.. so cold! There again, it was feeling like the battle was lost and it would just go to legal stuff with Beth and Jamie until the switchover
    .

    Was thinking during the episode that Sheridan is doing well in that I don't feel confident about any of my guesses about where the story is gonna end up. So that could be good or bad. Either he has a plan or doesn't. Given his history, I'm guessing he's got the end game in mind.

    Half of the first episode of any story based show ain't gonna do much for ya.
    Whether it gets better or not depends on what you like. What are you looking for?

    Absolutely fair point so I went and watched the rest of the first episode on my own and in peace!

    Overall I thought it was ok - I struggled to follow all the different characters and I thought some of the personalities a bit cliched, don't like the daughter character as I thought she was overplaying it but there are some lovely looking horses roaming around!!

    I'll stick with it for a while!

    Costner is great,he has that gravitas.

    It has a sort of Dallas meets Unforgiven feel to it

    Good opening episode to season 2 introducing the new characters and that closing few minutes were great and against shows how vast America is outside of major cities.

    I had never heard of this until a friend recommended it, and I thought it might serve as a filler between other series I was watching,
    It grows on you quite quickly. The Dallas/Unforgiven allusion is quite appropriate. It's character driven, with only a few storylines, and where the dark side of the characters aren't shied away from, and because the storylines are so small; the (big) characters have a lot of room to manoeuvre in.
    Kelly Reilly's character alone is worth the watch, so adding in Kevin Kostner on top form is a real treat.

    Great show this, not surprised it's renewed for a 3rd series, I can see this going for a long time.
