Oh was Mooney doing the papal stuff or the wildlife. It's about time RTE took him out of purgatory and put him back on the frontline instead of some of the dead wood they are currently carrying. Take your pick from D'Arcy or Turbridy.
Who did he offend within the RTE hierarchy? It reminds me of Xi Jinping, his family were purged during the cultural revolution and had to live in caves in the countryside

    Tomorrow.

Joe: What was the hardest part of your job yesterday?

Swiss Guard (with an Irish grandmother) : Keeping the people away from the popemobile.

Joe: Did you have a gun?

Ta. I came back into the room and thought Colm O Gorman looked a bit agitated and thought I'd missed something.

COG always looks agitated. But if you’ve suffered abuse then it’s likely you would.

    Oh gawd, DOD!

I'v turned the TV up to confuse the neighbours that might listen to what I watch.

He was chawing at the bit alright sotospeak, for good reason. It was shortly before Jow asked him for a yes or no answer. Colm chose not to choose and managed to have his spake before the credits rolled.

Somewhere in North county Dublin a weary presenter finishes his Cocoa, puts on his sleeping cap and turns in for the night.

Twinkle twinkle little star, how I wonder where you are, up above the ........Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

    G'noight all !

Sounds more like the eight circle of forced bonhomie hell, all three of them.

And during the coverage there was no reverence, it was bordering on being mocking and disrespectful at times.

That's because evidently -- and inexplicably, really -- you were listening to the radio one coverage. (Hate-listening, I suppose.) The RTE TV coverage was plenty reverential -- main play-by-play guy was a fully fledged priest, for heavensakes! (That's their multidenominational religious affairs unit for you.)

If Callan Kicks is to be believed, it was anchored by a Prod, though. There's your balance, I suppose.

Prepare for at least a week of a wind down from all this. No chance we'll be re-living the heroics of of the U21 Tipperary team that beat Cork in Limerick today. Unless one of them loses a family member "God forbid" in the meantime.

Guaranteed Darcy will have the girl who got "THAT" selfie on tomorrow.

    Went viral. Tick
    Traveller. Tick
    She has a "difference" Tick

You must have been looking at a different channel.

Listening to a different station, I think. (Clue being in the thread title!)

And listening from a different decade, which is always going to be a factor.

So will Joe devote todays show to the great event that happened yesterday and wait until tomorrow to blame the low attendance on the NTA not listening to him and allowing the buses to park on the road near the a-zoo?

The 9am slot would suit Mr.Mooney - he's usually bright and twerpy.

Joe gets an allowance from RTE for the traffic generated on this thread during the week. I wonder will he put in for a payment for the weekend. His loyal followers did not let him down.
