What aspects were mocking? The focus on child sexual abuse wasn't mocking.

Definitely not re abuse. I think the abuse is absolutely horrendous and a manisgestation of pure evil.

Anyone watching the TV thing? Very solemn and sedated so far.

That’s just in fees for the presenters. Total cost would easily break a million, if not multiples of dat.

I agree totally. The Church goers should be grateful RTE covering it in the first place.

Fateen by his own standards relatively well dressed on de tv tonight. No stockbroker shirt, no red velour waistcoat, no dickie bow, no multicoloured braces, no signet-rings turned into cufflinks....he’s even wearing the pochette/pocket square in a more modrin fashion instead of de usual 4 crown points look he usually goes for.

    Someone obviously had a word.

Flicked it on for a second there to see what was what.

Haven't seen Joe (mercifully) but that priest/bishop/cardinal/whoever he is (the thin-lipped guy) always gives me the creeps.

Back to recordings of Pointless for me.

Oh was Mooney doing the papal stuff or the wildlife. It's about time RTE took him out of purgatory and put him back on the frontline instead of some of the dead wood they are currently carrying. Take your pick from D'Arcy or Turbridy.

Mooney has brought wildlife into focus for me, such that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed so many walks and trips focussing on wildlife, particularly solo walks.

What is it about Colm O’Gorman’s wild eyes?

How do you know he's not a paedophile, Joe? As Shane O Curry once said.

Even his elocution is slightly improved.

They got a priest with the best puppy dog eyes they could get for the show.

He’s definitely had a quick slimdown. Dat suit fits well, Ivreckon it’s extremely expensive and chosen by somebody other than fan himself as it’s so tasteful.

He is on because he is the head of the Catholic Church in Ireland.

I reckon the bishop here, if secular, might, had he decided to get married, would not be to a woman.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,413 ✭✭✭✭hotmail.com

Yep and Mary McAleese's said she finds it terrifying that gay priests and nuns promote homophobic teachings.

Same as on the radio. He asks the bishop a question. As soon as he attempts to make an answer Joe shuts him down and goes to a break. No manners. AMd I'd be no fan of the bishop's
