As we've yet to break the 4.000 post mark we've a long way to go before we'll be considering new Thread title options. Pace has dropped enormously recently due to papal-related incredibly boring topics. Unless we get a very long and sustained Gold Rush so to speak, by de time we change it we'll likely have a new Gubbermint.

I saw de Pope’s Plane did two orbits over sea before landing. Reminds me of de time Boris Yeltsin’s plane was “circling over Ennis” as they tried vainly to sober up the Russian President before landing.

A couple of weeks ago on the LL there was a bit of a song and dance ( pardon the pun sotospeak ) about who was going to sing and dance for his Popeness.

Anyway, everybody hurts and Fr Ray the singing padre was hurt he wasn't axed to sing for his holiness.

Well to make a long story short Fr Ray got the consolation prize, he'll be concelebrating the big mass in the Feenix park. Wonder will he seize his chance to sing for the Pope after all.

Will there be gold tomorrow, no.
But let's keep the faith that there will be. :)

I'd fear for all the broken ankles and arms from slipping in the mudbath that's all but inevitable.....

Looking out the window here it is only milling rain. There's so much rain coming down that I actually recorded one of the those videos for youtube that help people sleep. But no doubt the clouds will clear by later on in the day, for the second coming.

That's Joe Duffy, I'm referring to, not the Pope. Óle, Óle, Óle.....Óoooooooooole

Remember dat picture from a few years back of Fateen janting walking and some man servant walking behind him wit a very large umbrella and dat shielding Fateen from de rain. I wonder is he wurking twoday too so to speak? I mean we couldn’t have de stars of RTÉ holding their own umbrellas now could we? Next we’ll expect dem to actually write their own weekly columns in tabloid newspapers and not simply lend their name to some nonsense prepared by a transition year journalism stewdent.

I know we are laughing, but if this weather keeps up, it is going to be a ridiculously difficult day for old people / people in wheelchairs / people with illness etc trying to make their way down to the Phoenix Park.

I'm presuming that it is milling down in Dublin, as it is in Kildare?

Tyrone must be raging though. if the AI Final had been played today (as it was originally scheduled before the visit was planned), it would have given them the best chance of turning it in to a game of murderball and possibly winning the thing.
